"Couldn't connect" or "Timed out"
Since the last EAapp update some weeks ago my EAapp started having issue connecting to it's server, letting me randomly unable to play my games. Everything was working fine before. Any fix existing for that ? I didn't touched anything related to my internet on my pc or in my home in general and everything else is working as intended.28Views0likes1CommentAccess Denied Error when installing packs
When I opened my game after updating it, it didn't have any of my packs installed. It's been a few months since I played, so I just figured that was why (it's happened before and been fine), so I went through the EA app and set all my owned packs to install but they keep getting to 95% installed, then pausing with an error pop up saying "The game failed to install or update". "We couldn't update pack name due to an access denied error". It goes on to mention antivirus software, so I tried uninstalling my antivirus and restarted my laptop, but it's still giving me the error. Any suggestions welcomed.17Views0likes0CommentsEA App won’t update my game
I posted this in the SIMS forum too but thought it fits better here - My Sims 4 game is still on version 1.115.235.1020 and there’s no option to update it in the EA app. This has never happened before, all updates previously have been fine, in the app the ‘play’ button said ‘update’ when one was required. The app is online, automatic updates are still set to on, I’ve repaired the game, I’ve restarted the app and my machine, I’ve cleared the cache in the EA app and I’ve uninstalled the EA app and reinstalled it from the EA website. Is there a way I can force the update either in the EA app or not?45Views1like6CommentsPersistent EC:105 Gallery Error — Confirmed Account-Based Issue, Not System
Hello, I'm reporting a persistent EC:105 error in The Sims 4 (Mac), which has been ongoing for several weeks. After exhaustive troubleshooting and direct contact with EA support, I can now confirm this issue is tied to my EA account — not my system, game files, or installation. Here is what I have done so far: – Fully uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 4 and the EA App – Deleted all EA and Sims-related files from Application Support and Documents – Cleared all caches (EA App, game, system) – Removed all Mods and Custom Content – Emptied the Tray folder completely – Started a clean macOS user account – Installed only the base game, without any DLCs – Created a new save, new Sim, and tried to save a Gallery item locally – Error EC:105 appears instantly, even in this clean setup This proves the problem is not local — it is tied to my EA account's gallery or cloud data. Support agents were unable to escalate the case, and instead referred me to the forum. I am posting here in the hope that: - A Community Manager can escalate this issue to the technical team - Other players who face this same error can confirm or upvote - EA becomes aware that some gallery-linked account data is likely corrupted The EC:105 error renders core game functions (saving to Gallery, using builds) unusable. I have purchased many packs and rely heavily on the Gallery — this makes the game unplayable for me. Please escalate this case. I am happy to provide logs, screenshots, or a case number if needed. Thank you.65Views3likes6CommentsGame keeps saying it needs to update
I hadn't opened the game for 20 days or something, went to open it today and it said it needed to be updated, so I did, it took the regular time to update, then when it finished instead of allowing me to launch the game, it still says it needs to be updated. This has repeated for more than ten times now, It says it needs updating, I click update, it loads for a while and right after it completes updating it says again I need to update. What can I do? It never happened before.35Views0likes2CommentsEA App will not let me update to 1.116.223.1030

Sul sul. I have 2 PCs, and I am using the same EA account for both PCs. On the first one, I could easily update the game. On this second PC the update doesn't show up at all. I clicked on App Recovery, and I also restarted the game, but the update didn't show up. I updated the app and tried it again, and the update is still not showing up. I've send an error report: 81244b2f-1151-4248-b2fb-9c674e488b28 My GameVersion.txt file is showing when I open it with Notepad: 1.116.202.1030 But the recent patch number is: 1.116.223.1030 Am I doing something wrong? My mods are up-to-date. It should work. Thanks in advance. I need to update to play the fairy pack :'(EA app wont download my new kits.
After I updated the game, I also bought the last few kits for the game. I've tried to download and install them but it's not working. Every time I click a kit to install nothing happens. An error message pops up saying I don't own it, but I do. I've checked my purchase history and my receipts, and they are all the paid. This is the only account and computer I use for The Sims. Can anyone help?64Views2likes4Comments
