If you have a problem with the BF 2042 game then don’t play it or don’t buy it?
That’s your opinion ok! It all started out with BF5 when it was really bad. But overall BF 2042 was the #1 worst game in the franchise! If you are having a hard time understanding me then, I could fix it myself. I have a small ENG like it’s Problems like autism ok, it’s one of them too. My English it’s more American and British.Which Tier 1 items are you working on?
Hi there, players! 🙌 Unlocking a Tier 1 skin for a Specialist, Vehicle or Gun is of course quite an achievement. An achievement that should be shared and celebrated! That is why we made this thread, so that we can share and celebrate these great achievements with each other, and so that we can share tips & tricks for unlocking the Tier 1 skins as optimally as possible! Good work on those Tier 1 skins, @Its_Travis_199, @NexonXG, @EA_Atic, @ElliotLH, @Chytrooki, @TTZ_Dipsy! 🥳 Well done! So, share those Tier 1 skin unlocks and celebrate those achievements! 🙌 Good luck out there on the Battlefield, No-Pats!26KViews71likes2776Commentsbattlefield basics
so ive learned recently that you can alter the gun handling in the portal servers i think to make it feel more traditional like the battlefield 3 ttk or so it says but i was kinda hoping not that 2042 isnt really good for how guns handle and how you can control them but maybe take a step back like it says to resemble the more traditional ttk to take a step back into battlefield 3 where i thought it was so perfect other than the recoil of the guns and projectile accuracy coming out of the barrel in relation to where your aiming was so dominate in battlefield 3 not that the recoil wasnt good i feel like it made battlefield 3 immense like actually immense for how good a person can lay down shots when they know there gun and attachements and have the experience in controlling it you can shoot in 2042 but the control isnt the best but then again maybe it shouldnt be to keep things a little more leisurely as opposed to super competitive i was thinking if a rework is possible to maybe look back into battlefield 3 and try to find what made the guns so good and what made it easier a better for handling your recoil and being able to put multiple bursts on a target if you really know your stuff with handling a gun maybe shouldnt be available but then again maybe so idk really i totally understand to stray away from super competitive stuff like multiple bursts on a target which is possible in bf3. started a server on 2042 for the portal but i havnt gotten anyone to join and play because of all the afk xp grind servers so i cant exactly check out the traditional ttk variant that is selected on my server. now i do remember at one point in 2042 the visual recoil and relation to where your aiming was really spot on like i could really control the gun very well with where i was seeing the sight go and how the recoil sight picture was so perfect id say but ive since to see that again in 2042 idk what update changed it or when they may have taken it out but its not the same today. anyways i think for a good discussions if any one of the community members know of whats going on for the feedback on specialists or if theres any plans for like the basics on gunplay and recoilPrototype gun to overpowerd
So… is Battlefield 2042 supposed to be “Prototype Simulator” now? Since today I keep getting wiped by this “Prototype” weapon — even through walls. There’s basically no counter. What’s the point here? - Are we reducing the whole arsenal to one broken gun? - Or is it just a way to push players who don’t own it (like from Iwo Jima) to leave? I’ve played BF since 1942, and this is the opposite of what Battlefield stands for: balance, fair fights, real fun. The Prototype kills the BF spirit. Aveteran of the sagaSniping Is Broken in Battlefield 2042
Sniping in Battlefield 2042 just feels broken. Take the SWS-10 for example — it’s chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO, the same type of round used in real-world precision rifles that can absolutely drop a target from 800–1,000 meters with a single well-placed shot. That’s almost three football fields of distance where the bullet still carries enough energy to be lethal. Yet in the game, I’ll line up a perfect shot across these massive maps, hit the enemy dead-on, and it does laughable damage. Then the guy turns around, beams me with an M4A1 — a 5.56 assault rifle that realistically loses effectiveness past 500 meters — and I’m down in two or three hits. It makes no sense that a sniper rifle built for long-range dominance gets outgunned by a standard AR at extreme range. It kills the whole point of running a sniper in the first place.1942 Weapon Scopes misalignment
I love using the M1 Garand in 2042, but the (2-4x?) scope appears to be misaligned to where the vertical reticle line extends up and past the center of the scope circle. I've noticed this for the other 1942 portal guns that use the same scope. It makes enemies hard to track and shots hard to follow-up because the lines of the scope are so thick and the bullets don't travel to the center of the scope, they instead travel to the misaligned tip of the vertical reticle line. I also noticed the skewed angle of the lower-magnification sights on 1942 portal weapons (1-1.5x) where the angle of the sight seems skewed and the circular reticle is also misaligned vertically in the sight. Was this intentional or am I just bad?Domination Mode is the most balanced and fun way to play Battlefield
I still don’t understand why Domination got removed. It was hands down one of the most fun and balanced ways to play Battlefield. No tanks rolling through with 80+ kills, no helicopters farming entire squads… just infantry vs. infantry, pure gunplay, and strategy. What made Domination so good: No vehicle spam – you didn’t have to worry about one player dominating the match with armor or air power. Close-quarters intensity – smaller areas made every firefight exciting and forced teams to actually coordinate. Skill-based gameplay – wins felt earned through aim, positioning, and teamwork, not who spawned the most powerful vehicle. Pure Battlefield combat – gunfights and objective control were the focus, which made matches competitive but also fair. I get that vehicles are a huge part of Battlefield’s DNA, but let’s be honest—vehicles get overused and abused in most modes, and it kills the balance. Domination stripped all that away and delivered some of the best infantry gameplay the series ever had. It feels like the community has been asking for more infantry-focused experiences, and Domination was already the perfect solution. Why take it away instead of promoting it more? Anyone else miss this mode as much as I do? Do you think DICE will ever bring it back—or should we keep pushing for it until they do? Another thing I think Battlefield needs more of is mid-size maps for Rush and Conquest that don’t rely on vehicles. Not every match has to be either massive open fields with tanks everywhere or tiny close-quarters shootouts. There’s a sweet spot in the middle where infantry combat shines, and it feels like the franchise rarely leans into it. On mid-size infantry-focused maps: -> Rush becomes tactical again – pushing or defending objectives feels more fair when players don’t have to deal with a tank sitting on the M-COM or a heli spawn camping. -> Conquest gets more competitive – squads can actually focus on capturing and holding zones through teamwork instead of who spawns the most armor. -> Map flow feels natural – the pacing is quicker than huge vehicle-dominated maps but not as chaotic as tiny CQC arenas. -> Skill decides outcomes – firefights, positioning, and squad play matter way more than who controls the vehicle spawns. This kind of design would give players who love infantry combat a reason to stick around without taking vehicles away from the players who want them on large-scale maps. It’s about offering balance and variety—and modes like Domination already proved how fun infantry-only gameplay can be.
