C4 for Support again
So I've seen it mentioned in a lot of places, the general want for C4 to return to the support class. If Battlefield studios wants Support to run ammo AND health, fine I guess, but Support needs something to counter-act vehicles. If Battlefield studios is really going to make a claim of "returning to form", I feel like this would be a step in the right direction. Bf3&4 pulled it off and I never saw it as a "balancing" issue due to the fact that every tank in the game ended up with thermal optics that made it pretty tough to get close enough to plant the C4 anyway. It felt like leveling the playing field. As it stands, Support is helpless when any sort of armored vehicle enters the scene. Obviously I'm a support main, and I'm gonna' keep pounding that drum about dev's making the "return to form" claim. Support should really just run ammo, and send the health back to Assault. They had the formula perfected in Bf3 &4, then decided that it wasn't broke so they broke it. Odds are we're stuck with this, but if anyone's got any idea on how to get the dev's attention on this, I'm all ears. The support class isn't half of what it used to be despite having a lot more gadgets, some of which aren't even that great. (Looking at you, incendiary airburst launcher). Return to Form, Battlefield Dev's. You said it, and we bought the game. Now make good on what you said. NOTE: I've also read that C4 is now considerably weaker than it has been in previous entries, but I've ran Recon recently (hardcore servers), just to test that, and three blocks will knock out a tank. So it SEEMS that devs have fixed that particular issue.I WANT ANSWERS
I want to know why they tho it was a good idea to change guns up and patterns and not work on audio I reach out them numbers of time and they won't tell me I'm not a player. Who has time to master every gun out I have to work for a living 12-14 hours a day at times to come home to get **bleep** beatAim Assist completely broken for controllers!
Latest patch totally broke controller aim assist: it was supposed to tame it at longer distances, but now it's almost completely absent at short or medium ranges! Controller players are already at a disadvantage compared to Mouse & Keyboard players! Also, defib is broken, and there are GUI glitches in the Multiplayer menu.2.5KViews18likes48Commentsfiring modes switching randomly
My guns with different firing modes are switching randomly. I know it's not me pressing the button, as I've re-bound it from 'V' to 'n'. I didn't think I was hitting V by accident, but just in case, I moved it over so that I have to extend my thumb to hit it. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there some other key bind that could be getting triggered unintentionally?Another frustrating PORTAL change!(8-20 players to start)
They've made another unpleasant change... now, to play without bots with full experience, you need 20 people to start the server, which is unrealistic! Because in practice, it looks like- you start the server and wait, alone or with friends, at least an hour for just 10 people to join! and you still have to wait doing nothing for another 10 players... Now, to even play with bots and start the server, you need 8 players! Which is also unrealistic because many people don't want to play with bots! Congratulations on the idiotic changes DEVS. First, you ruined the helicopter, now it's PORTAL! You haven't touched anything important to fix the game since the release, you're just completely ruining this game. Now even create portal server is impossible because capacity is inflated by bot farm servers that nobody plays because it needs 8 players to start and they don't even take them down!even if you're lucky to create 1 after 1h you will get server in China or Africa always with 150 ping! EA/DICE give us full experience on servers where there are no bots included Custom Portal so people won't farm experience for free! and let servers start from 1-2 players because nobody likes to wait in a lobby doing nothing. If someone really loves to play with bots ,make it like is now - 8 players minimum ,so they will find people fast!Solved2.1KViews34likes61Comments1 Player start suggestion
I know there is a lot of debate about player start numbers and XP in portal. I wish to suggest 1 player start on any portal experience or in the server browser. With 1 player start limit the XP to 10% of the Full XP. As players join add 10%XP per player joining until 10 or more Real players have joined. So full XP for 10 players in a server. If there are only 3 players, the server will award 30% of the Full XP experience. As of right now there are a bunch of servers that remain empty that I and others would like to play either by ourselves or with just a few friends. To me this seems like a fair compromise to end the PVP AI debate with XP. I think Mastery and challenges should be awarded with the same kind of XP system. PVP players would get Full XP and single player types who love PVE would get 10% of the Full XP experience. This to me is a fair solution. The game would play about the same for both groups of people. Open for discussion and I hope that the player start minimum can be reduced to 1 in the near foreseeable future. Thank you for your time.Ursus Major Bundle Missing from Store?
What happened to the ursus major bundle with the gold pickaxe from the store? It was supposed to be available for a whole month along with the other winter offensive stuff. Was there a reason for the removal and will it return? I was actually gonna buy it once I unlocked the pickaxe via the battlepass but now its missing.Visible health bars & low TTK
I genuinely believe adding visible health bars and ruining the TTK has taken away a lot of what made Apex and the fights great and interesting to play or watch. Season 21 was the last time we played before health bars, then the low TTK happened in Season 24. No surprise the game has been on a steady decline since S21... The fights are way too fast now and the teamfighting/legend dynamics were completely changed when everyone just pushes everything super fast with low HP because they know exactly how low they are, and with health bars, know exactly where they are or what direction they're trying to evade to. The game is way too one-dimensional now. The game just isn't as interesting anymore because the fights aren't nearly as back-and-forth as they used to be. Also it's increasingly harder to balance all the weapons/legends to be viable when everyone dies so quickly and the fights end so fast now. I know this is copy/pasted from my other countless other comments about these changes since they were added over a year ago, but I don't know how else to make my point. I've repeated my point of view over and over, but nothing is being done and the playerbase and viewership keeps declining... I just want my favorite game to return to its former greatness. Here is a summary of why the two biggest core gameplay issues plaguing the game are visible health bars and low TTK: Health bars: - Gives free tracking and awareness - letting players see exactly where weakened enemies move, even through foliage or visual clutter. - Makes 3rd partying way easier since you instantly know who’s low and safe to push. - Removes the fog of war: no more guessing HP, no more deception via shield swaps, no more hiding HP weakness by using shield cells/batteries to re-peek. - Makes certain legends and abilities (Seer tac, Bloodhound, Mirage ult, etc.) far less valuable. - Encourages nonstop aping and movement legends - if you ever peek with flesh, everyone knows and full-sends. - Subconsciously affects split-second decisions at every level of play. - Makes tracking and aiming easier because players now have giant bars floating over them. Low TTK: - Erases mid-fight depth, teamfight dancing, clutch potential, and outplays. - Punishes solos and flanks - one tick of damage reveals your exact location and HP, and you’re basically out of the fight. - Leads to instant knocks → quick 2v3s with little chance for recovery. - Reduces the value of defensive or slower legends. - Shrinks the margin for error so much that taking even minor damage forces you to hide and heal instead of fighting back. Combined, HP bars + low TTK: - Creates cheap, fast kills, shallow fights, and overly aggressive playstyles. - Removes most of what made old Apex dynamic, skill-expressive, and balanced. - Makes movement less valuable and tracking easier. - Turns fights into linear one-dimensional “see flesh/red HP bar → push instantly” scenarios. Overall: Apex played best and was at its peak in the seasons before visible HP bars were added. Removing them—and/or raising the TTK—would restore much of the original depth and fun that made us all like the game. Here are some of my previous comments that have received positive reactions, showing that I'm not the only one that see's what's currently wrong with the game, go back and read people's replies to these as well: 1 - comment in the competitive apex sub on a comment lamenting about the lack of viewership/engagement in the eSports/pro scene now 2 - replying to a comment in the recent dev AMA that's concerned about the game's direction towards movement with low TTK 3 - the issue with the Support meta the season before they lowered the TTK was because they removed the only counters to support utility then swung too hard the other way and blanket buffed literally every weapons' damage, removed helmets, and Red EVO rather than just bringing the counters back. 4 - heavily upvoted post during the Support meta questioning why counters to Support were removed 5 - heavily upvoted post just days after health bars were added 6 - highly commented post complaining about low TTK not long after it was added 7 - highly upvoted comment linking my clip asking everyone's favorite iiTzTimmy on his opinion on health bars 8 - example 1 of seeing your target through things you shouldn't be able to because of health bars 9 - example 2 10 - everyone's favorite aceu getting instantly knocked then sarcastically praising the low TTK change comparing it to Warzone, why do you think he stopped playing? 11 - a comment where people agree that health bars are arguably the worst change they ever made 12 - a comment to the devs in their recent AMA on legend balance 13 - a comment where I pasted a lot of my other smaller comments about this topic 14 - a comment where people agree that low TTK lowered the skill ceiling too much 15 - upvoted comment on a post lamenting about how hard it is to play immobile legends now 16 - upvoted comment the season after the Support meta agreeing that buffing every weapon/lowering TTK was a mistake, lots of good discussion in this whole post 17 - upvoted reply on a comment from a returning player who doesn't understand why the fights are so fast now75Views0likes8Comments
