Bayou Bijou Collab Completed - World save and Part 4 video released!
Welcome to another builder's collaboration hosted by Hidehi2 , Sandraelle and me soocoolsim ! Introducing Bayou Bijou, a New Orleans / Louisiana inspired world featuring seven areas. Our collaboration has been a success. Thank you to all participants! BAYOU BIJOU BASE WORLD (empty lots) This is a flat vanilla world created by Hidehi2 and is very loosely based on New Orleans or anywhere in the Louisiana Bayou country. Included are French Quarter, Garden and City Districts, Beach and Farming areas and two Bayous. The base world includes a mix of 93 empty residential and community lots. Since a fully loaded Bayou Bijou includes many highly detailed builds, we recommend you adjust your in-game settings lower for optimal gameplay. Download and install the empty base world Download and extract the world save file Place the extracted folder under .... \Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves before launching your game BACKGROUND (Edit! July 5/25 - The collab is complete. The following instructions are for reference only) Experienced creators (Intermediate+) are invited to join us in creating builds to add to this empty world. If building is not your forte, but you love decorating, just let us know. We'll try to match you with an appropriate builder to create a shell for you. Everyone can experience Bayou Bijou taking shape by downloading the empty base world and installing builds as they become available. Constructive comments throughout this process are welcome, so don't be shy. Please keep an eye on the "News and Updates" post for milestones and links to new creations as they become available. You can also check out in-game Bayou Bijou Stories and Sims from players / creators. Without further ado, onto the details below and come join in the fun! CLAIMING OVERVIEW Download the Bayou Bijou empty base world created by the talented Hidehi2. Take a look at the lists of available lots using the Map posts as reference (see links above). Indicate you're on board for the collab and sign up for your first claim by replying on this thread with your chosen map lot reference # (eg A8). I will update the lists with claims and add download / media links when builds are completed. Every two weeks (approx the 1st and 15th of the month) a new claiming period starting with a 'Claiming Day' post will begin. During this period, if you are now joining the collab or had a build in progress on Claiming Day, you can claim 1 lot. For ongoing participants, if all previously claimed builds are completed and link(s) submitted by Claiming Day, you may claim up to 2 lots. Edit! Effective Apr 15/25, after successfully uploading a completed cc-free build, participants may claim another lot if desired. However, max 2 claims in progress remains in place. Edit! Apr 17/25 - All lots Claimed. See the Map listings for links to completed builds. BUILDING GUIDELINES Please stay within the theme of each map area and general New Orleans, Louisiana inspiration. You have creative freedom otherwise. All Expansion Packs OK for use. All Stuff Packs OK for use. All official EA Store Items OK for use. Free EA Store Items OK for use. Note: Some are no longer available for download so use at your discretion. NO third-party Custom Content allowed. Please Custard Check your lot file before uploading to double check. We highly recommend you play-test your lot before uploading to ensure no routing concerns and downloaders can enjoy your build as intended. Another recommendation is to test placement of your final version. This helps identify any potential issues (windows/tiles out of place, etc). To do this... Export your build, save your game, delete the final version, then use the exported copy in the Library to add it back into the world. Take a look around to see if anything is amiss and correct as needed. It will be useful for players if the Bayou Bijou lot address is included in your build description on the Exchange, albeit optional. Do take the time to put your best foot forward to make your build(s) shine inside and out. Just be cautious about using a ton of clutter since that can add to lag when playing. Each build will be showcased with credit in video walkthroughs on YouTube once the world is completed. Once your build is available on the Exchange, please post a reply on this thread including: Name of build / map reference and/or address / download link / cover picture / custard screenshot confirming no 3rd party custom content included. Optional! Link to additional picture site / thread. SIM / HOUSEHOLD SUBMISSIONS The focus of the collab is on builds as the final world game save will be unpopulated, however we can link to Sims / Households created for Bayou Bijou. Bayou Bijou builders can submit Sims / Households for their completed claims as well as general (eg Townie) use. Non-builders can submit Sims / Households for general (eg Townie) use. All Expansion Packs OK for use. All Stuff Packs OK for use. All official EA Store Items OK for use. Free EA Store Items OK for use. Note: Some are no longer available for download so use at your discretion. NO third-party Custom Content allowed. Please Custard Check your Sim / Household file before uploading to double check. Once your Sim / Household is available on the Exchange, please post a reply on this thread including: Name / map reference or address (or flag as Townie) / download link / 1 cover picture / custard screenshot confirming no 3rd party custom content included. Optional! Link to additional picture site / showcase thread. Sims / Households created by participants for claimed builds will include lot addresses with their listings. Sims / Households created for potential use within Bayou Bijou but not associated with a specific build (eg Townies) will be listed under the heading of Auxiliary sims which players can place anywhere as desired. Game launcher crashes when I open the downloads tab in Sims 3, maybe someone has ideas how to fix this problem. I play in Mac. I uninstalled everything and then reinstalled but unfortunately it didn't help. I bought a new world - Roaring Heights Gold Edition but I can't download it in my game when launcher crashes.3.1KViews13likes86CommentsTwilight Shores ... A Small Base Game World
This world was created just to try if I could finally manage to get EIG in CAW to respond after I installed the TS3 base game from disk and patched to 1.67. When to my utter delight it actually was successful this project started to develop a life of its own 😉 Twilight Shores is a small base game only world with no cc and no store content. All EA rabbit holes (except the Bistro) have been accommodated either in basements or on the surface. There are 19 community lots + 1 car park and 18 fully furnished homes + 3 empty building plots. It's an unpopulated town but game generated sims will move in fairly quickly. I must admit it was fun but quite a challenge to create Twilight Shores with such a limited amount of things to use. Especially the community lots feel a little boring to me ... no hot-tubs, saunas, basketball courts, pool tables, pianos, boats, no professional or barista bars not even a wedding arch and no clutter to spread around the homes 😱 But on the other hand none of the items used will be replaced by odd looking stuff like toilets on the patio if you don't have the jacuzzi in your game 😝 I thoroughly enjoyed being able to use EIG again. It makes such difference for world creators! Now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I have been successful in creating a small world that everyone can use and hopefully enjoy. 😄 Here are a few more pictures of lots that I have built for this world: Well done for having made it this far down the page. I'm sure this is what you were looking for 😆: Download link: https://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=9602271 Have fun and Happy Simming!!!653Views12likes16CommentsOrient Express world collaboration

I am very pleased to finally introduce you to 'Piccolo Mondo' a small world that has been in the making for quite some time and was inspired by the beautiful Cinque Terre, Italy. It has been filled with quaint colourful buildings of Liguria and Tuscany and I very much hope it'll be a world full of fun for you and your sims. Piccolo Mondo means 'small world' in Italian and although it is a small map it will hopefully provide sims with most things they may need to either live and work here permanently or enjoy as a holiday destination. Some but not all rabbit holes are present, most are accessible via basements of multifunctional lots and will provide your sims with plenty of job opportunities if required and lots of other entertainment. All EPs and SPs (except Sweet Treats) were activated while building. Monte Vista and other store content has been used and would be beneficial for the Italian look but is not necessary for gameplay. Piccolo Mondo is unpopulated but will fill up with game generated sims fairly quickly because of the small size. NPCs have a choice of accommodation too. 😀 Translation from English to Italian had to be via Google Translate as I have only rudimentary knowledge of this beautiful language ... so please forgive any mistakes or misunderstanding. No 3rd party CC has been used! P.S.: A big 'Thank You!' to soocoolsim and Sandraelle for checking out Piccolo Mondo before I uploaded to the Exchange and their kind suggestions for improvements 😊 And finally here is the download link: Piccolo Mondo TS3 Exchange Have fun and Happy Simming 😁262Views9likes12CommentsCape Albacore Community Collaboration - Video Tours

Overview This guide is for registering and installing standalone worlds from the Sims 3 Store, specifically those bought with money. That list includes Dragon Valley, Hidden Springs, Monte Vista, Roaring Heights, and sometimes Barnacle Bay. If you bought a Store world with SimPoints and it's not appearing in your purchase history on the Store site, please contact EA customer support and request that the SimPoints from the failed purchase be added back to your account. How to register a Store world jump to: My code doesn't work jump to: I can't install the world When you purchase a standalone Sims 3 world from Origin or the EA App, you should receive an email confirmation from EA. If you don't see this, check your spam filter. This email should include one product code per item, as shown here in the blacked-out red box: IMPORTANT: Some players have reported finding their product codes on ea.com, under Account Settings > Order History, so please look there as well. If you never received this email and it's not in your spam folder, please contact EA customer support. https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/ You'll want the live chat option, not email, so you can explain the issue to a real person in real time. If you don't see the live chat option, try again in a private browsing window (or another browser), and continue as a guest rather than signing in. Otherwise, go to this site: https://store.thesims3.com/ Sign in with the same email address and password that you use for other EA sites, scroll to the bottom of the page, and click "Redeem a Code." Enter the code you've received, and the world should appear in your account. You can then download it from your purchase history (Store > My Store Account > Purchase History) or its product page. https://store.thesims3.com/worldProductDetail.html?categoryId=12642 ↑ My code doesn't work If you are sure you've never used this code, but the Store site tells you it's invalid or already been redeemed, you'll need to contact EA customer support to ask for a refund. https://help.ea.com/en/customer-care/ I strongly recommend using live chat rather than email. If you don't see the option, change the location in your browser window to U.S. or U.K., or choose a slightly different category of issue. Or use a private browsing window, or a different browser, and continue as a guest rather than signing in. If EA support doesn't help, please say so in this thread. If support does help, please post anyway letting me know what world(s) caused the issue so we can look for patterns. ↑ I can't install the world If you're getting the "there are no packages to install" error, please see this post: Re: Sims 3 Launcher "There are no packages to install" | EA Forums - 11190163 The standard way to download a world is to go to its product page or open your purchase history (Store > My Store Account > Purchase History), then click the Download button. If this isn't working for you, try a different browser. Firefox generally works best with the Store site. It is generally unnecessary to sign into the launcher before attempting to download or install Store content. However, this has helped some players, so it's worth trying. Mac users only: if you see an Error Downloading Content {0}, please repair the game in Origin, restart your computer, and try again. If the world still won't download properly, try a clean Sims 3 user folder. Rename the existing "The Sims 3" folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, open the launcher to create a new folder, and try to download only that world. If it works, you can move the downloaded world from the new Sims 3 folder to the old one you renamed, trash the new folder, and change the old one's name back to "The Sims 3." Downloaded Store items are found in the Downloads subfolder and have the extension .Sims3Pack. Be sure to delete any older downloads of the world before moving over the fresh copy. If the world downloads properly but doesn't install, please try a clean Sims 3 user folder as well. Rename the existing "The Sims 3" folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, open the launcher to create a new folder, download only that world, and try to install it. If this works, you can install the rest of your Store content into that folder, then move over your saves and any other files you'd like to keep. Please see this guide for a list. If reinstalling all of your Store content would be a burden, or you're confused about another part of this process, please ask for further help in this thread. ↑15KViews7likes624CommentsSan Marina is Finished and Available for Download
San Marina, a Sims 3 world I've been working on for a very long time, has been released. Download is here: Download is here: https://www.thesimsdepot.com/sims-3/downloads/worlds/san-marina/ I've attached a README.txt file below so you can get more details about the world: If you're interested, I strongly recommend running it on a machine that can handle large worlds like Boroughsburg and Los Aniegos. San Marina is huge, with 212 lots and 200 residents. The optimal settings are AMD Ryzen 5 6400 + AMD Radeon RX 6400 + SSD + 8GB. However, I was able to also get this to run on an older machine with AMD Athlon II X4 +Nvidia 1030 GT + 8GB + HDD and with all EPs installed. As a long-time fan and supporter of The Sims franchise,I truly appreciate the creativity, freedom, and uniqueness that these games offer. The Sims 3,in particular, holds a special place in my heart.Over the years,I've spent countless hours enjoying its rich gameplay and detailed customization options. With the shift to digital platforms and newer updates like version 1.69,it's clear that EA has worked to make The Sims 3 more compatible with modern systems. This version helps eliminate many of the old issues, such as launcher problems, login errors,or CD key verifications, which often troubled users of the physical versions. However, many dedicated fans, including myself, still own and cherish the original CD versions. It's unfortunate that these older copies can sometimes face limitations or connection errors, even when we have legally purchased and supported the game from the beginning.I believe that continued support for CD versions,or a more flexible transition to digital, would be a great way to honor the loyal player base. While The Sims 4 offers new features, its aesthetic and emotional depth—especially with mods or paid content—feels different from the charm and freedom of The Sims 3.I fully support original games and continue to stay loyal, but I deeply miss playing The Sims 3 freely, without technical or internet-related issues. This isn't a complaint or criticism, but rather a hopeful message from someone who loves The Sims series and wants to see it remain accessible and enjoyable for everyone—newcomers and longtime players alike. I once wished for a little puppy...but instead, I discovered The Sims 3 Pets. And even after five years,it was one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve ever had.❤️🦋118Views6likes1Comment
