Reaper Rewards event is broken.
Like many other people the Reaper Reward event is broken for me; I am on Xbox Series X and was only able to complete week 1. Then the quests part of the UI disappeared and I got stuck on Become Friends with Grim Reaper portion of the event and can no longer progress through any of the rest of the event. I can open the portion of the Event UI that shows me the rewards and tells me what goals need to be completed, but the actual quest portion itself does not show up no matter what I try to do to fix it. There seems to be 0 fixes for console players and I've attempted playing offline, starting new saves, deleting save files, going through game settings and options then disabling and reenabling them, and even went so far as uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game and all my packs. The silence for assisting console players in this well known issue is staggering and speaks volumes; Our time and money is clearly not valued. Absolutely nothing has worked to fix this issue and it feels extremely unfair at this point with 16 days left in the event and the complete inability to progress at all with no way to fix it in sight. Especially being stuck at halfway through Week 2 for me. Are the event prizes just going to be unlocked for everyone with all of these known issues? If not, then I am most likely just going to end up quitting the game at this point and selling off my account because so much money has been spent just to keep having game playability issues, it's absolutely infuriating and has completely robbed me of being able to enjoy the game anymore. It's incredibly disappointing to see the Sims devolve entirely into a cash grab for EA when I have been playing since Sims 1. As a consumer I do not feel valued and I know I'm not alone in those feelings all across the board.
REAPER REWARD EVENT STILL NOT WORKING
I play on xbox and i was able to access and complete the first week of the reaper event but then no more quests have shown up again... ive deleted every save and made new households..that didnt work, ive uninstalled and reinstalled.. that also didnt work. :( i play sims almost everyday, have bought almost every pack that has came out and i was so excited about this event..now its almost over and i have nothing. very very upsetting.Solved
Gameplay issues since Life and Death pack
I've also been having some issues with game play since the Life and Death pack's release. Below are the only issues I've had so far. I preordered the pack, downloaded it on halloween and started playing it properly on November 4th. I have all the packs except for: Bowling Night Vintage Glamour Perfect Patio Luxury Party All the kits (I own cozy bistro, riviera retreat, urban homage, goth galore, desert luxe, blooming rooms and bust the dust) For Rent: An issue will occur, I'll go over and sort it out but the event thing doesn't disappear even though it's all been ticked, I'll return back home and it'll be set as "tenants resolved issue themselves" or "you failed to address it" decreasing my unit score Cottage Living: Animal in cow shed going into household inventory whenever I go to build mode and not staying in the shed when I assign it to animal or being able to be placed manually General: The UI will sometimes just randomly disappear completely or partially so I either can't see my sims' moods etc or the event goals section will just disappear while the event is still going on so I can't see what else I need to do or can't end the event early The romance bar will rapidly deplete for no reasonSolved
Reaper Rewards
I'm still bugged for weeks now, stuck on WEEK 1. I only play on Xbox Series S, I have nearly all the packs. I've requested expedite mail delivery maybe 30 times now, the mail people keep standing still by the mailbox for hours. When I DO get the Ambrosia Society Letter, I open it, and it does not register that I've gotten it. It won't show me the quests for the other weeks obviously since it's keeping me on the first one, so I'm afraid I'll miss out on these rewards now. I've tried inviting the mail people in and sending them home, I've tried placing several mailboxes, what else can I try??
