Game is taking too long to load the main menu
My game usually took like 10-15 seconds to load the main menu after the game intro, but currently it's taking more than a minute to load it. Initially I thought it could be related to mods, but even after removing all mods and repairing the game, it's still taking this unusual long time to load the main menu This started happening after the June 30th update, prior to that my game was loading quicker.[GTW] Customers don't enter retail shop
I’m not sure exactly how recently this bug has developed but I recently purchased a retail lot to make a bakery and whenever I open my lot for business, sims spawn at the back of the lot, won’t come inside, and end up saying “nothing here fits my liking I’ll take my business elsewhere” and leaving. I’ve tried having my shop owner sim come outside and use the retail interactions to try and get them to guy something but every interaction counts as a negative one no matter who I try it with, how many times I try it, or how high their relationship is before I attempt it. I’M BEYOND angry. 2 YEARS of a multigenerational family GONE. My save is GONE. And when I try to play those families from my library and start a new game I can’t save them. My daughter’s old saves? Can’t play them. She has 2 saves - one family on each so not big files. I had one save. GONE. This new pack/update RUINED my game. I have EVERY expansion pack, stuff pack, and kit pack. $2k down the drain. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM - saves disappearing?!?!? Makes the game UNPLAYABLE. Saving is Not Saving Just Crashes!!
I DO NOT WANT THIS POST TO BE MOVED TO ANOTHER THAT IS OVER YEAR OLD!!! Saving is crashing and not saving what is the point here! for Auto save remind and when you save it does not save and crashes????????????? I am getting sick of this so many bugs and NOTHING BEING FIXED!!! I play on xbox Next Gen! Altho I am guessing this matters less as console users get the last to be fixed on anything meh!!!!Houses/Lots Disappear
Issue The save game starts to disintegrate itself. Lots start to get deleted, causing endless loading, loading into empty lots. This issue has been around since the very beginning so it’s not tied to any packs. This issue possibly has a lot of different causes and hence is hard to pinpoint. There more info you have, the better. Information to provide Your platform Mod usage (Never, Removed, Yes) This is important info, not mod blaming. Are you using Memory Boost (it's only active if it's set to Enabled) This is now enabled for everyone Are you using OneDrive/iCloud ? Before and after save games. Please DM the link to EA. Does this happen on a save started after Patch 1.125 or on ones from before that ? How large is your save game ? For PC: Your Computer's DxDiag? Issue When loading into a lot, all the neighboring houses show either as an empty lot or show the default lot that comes with the game. Loading into the lot shows the correct lot. Thumbnails on the map are also correct. There is no endless loading. Info It's unclear what's happening here but I tested this on a save and found that it was only an issue for certain families. Loading the same lot with a different family showed the houses fine. It looks like a rending issue where the game doesn't find the correct data and shows either an empty lot (if the lot comes empty on a new game) or with the house that was originally on that lot. At this point I do not know if this is an early sign of save game corruption. Workaround In the save I tested, I was able to fix the issue by simply moving the affected families out and back in. This issue is not mod caused but it can be influenced by mods and cheats, especially if you create lots of Residential Rental units in your save game. Save Game Size. The issue usually typically happens on larger save games. There are a few factors that contribute to save game size that you can keep an eye on Lots of huge houses with lots of objects: Try to keep those down. Consider using empty houses for set decoration if you don't play certain lots but want houses to make it look nicer Photos Sims take ingame. Try to only keep the photos you really like and that contribute to your gameplay. Delete everything else. Photos take up a lot of space in the save. Lots of Sims. The game creates Sims at abundance. Delete the ones you don't use from time to time. Usually there's nothing you can do once it starts happening.
