(10PM UPDATED) [Urgent] Apple Issue: 10/1/ 2024

Hello Apple Users, 

If you are getting this or a similar message: 

There is a current issue between Apple's iOS and our new Update and will not allow you to get into the game. 

We will be contacting Apple to figure out a resolution. 

In the meantime, the workaround we have found is uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. 

 

6pm Update: The team is still working with Apple to figure out a resolution 

8PM Update: No new information to provide, teams are still working on it. 

10PM Update: Both teams will pick this back up in the morning, this will be the last update until then.

  • I find it both unbelievable and yet entirely expected that the folks at Capital Games would allow a post on this subject to remain neglected for greater than 24 hours. The work around in the initial post is incomplete with a more complete response from the SWGOH Events discord being:

    if you use iOS:

    reinstall again. make sure to:
    let the audio enabled in settings of swgoh
    do NOT play music while the game is active. close the game fully before playing any music

    It doesn’t seem unreasonable to ask that the maintainers of this game provide regular updates to their customers at a minimum, even a simple “still working on it, we have been able to replicate the bug and continue to debug the issue” would be nice.

    I don’t think anyone is blaming the developers, and I hope they are being supported by the company in their efforts to resolve the issue, just do better with communication and transparency.

      I've gone through the uninstall/reinstall process countless times.  Still crashes no matter what I do.  This is getting ridiculous!  

  • From the original post, it appears this issue won't be resolved until Apple gets back to them.

    The repeated reinstall method is just a way to get around it temporarily, until it is fixed. 

    So... not really much to report until that happens. 

  • Hello, I wrote on the forum, but I don't think there will be any response. Every iOS user is complaining of sound, but I haven't seen from iOS user this. When I log out of Game Centre, game works perfectly (iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 17.6.1). Can some of iOS users try to log out of Game Centre and try to run game and confirm? Probably the problem could be elsewhere than sound...

    so after few hours of trying. the game continues to crash even if i am not logged
