Hi Holotable Heroes,
Ships have always had a razor-edge meta that is hard to make adjustments to without something inadvertently slipping through the cracks. With the release of Rogue One, and with it the elevation of Profundity over Executor, we wanted a simple, obvious update to the meta the players could get behind. This involves the continued superiority of Leviathan as the fleet at the top. However we’re seeing reports that the cracks are wider than we had originally accounted for, and so we are investigating Profundity/Leviathan matchups as well as continually monitoring how both ships continue to fare against one another.
We wanted to give you a heads up that there may be an adjustment to Profundity/Rogue One (and/or possibly Leviathan) in the future to help bring this matchup to be in-line with the original intent for Rogue One’s place in the meta. For the time being, however, we do not anticipate a hot fix for this specific issue.

The interaction between Profundity and Leviathan is fine. There is no full auto risk so attacking with Leviathan will still beat Profundity. Also the beating Leviathan with Profundity isn't an easy battle, there is RNG involved and unintuitive strategy. With all the buffs Leviathan has gotten since its release, it seems like you only want Leviathan mirror matches to beat it, THAT ISN'T A BALANCED META!

Leviathan
ability 1: if any capital ship other than Leviathan is the enemy ship instantly win.
ability 2 : if enemy capital ship is Leviathan, Leviathan with highest spending for the week wins.
ability 3: if Rogue 1 is in the line up, Darth Revan will collect a $500 fee for Capital Games and Profundity is removed from enemy players roster forever. - wpjdtl0tp41u4 months agoSeasoned Newcomer
Leviathan is the most expensive ship in SWGOH history. It's never been able to consistently enjoy its own meta. You should never fix something by making a different asset less valuable.

Like clockwork, like a bad idea factory.

Yet another half baked trash job guys, great work. Oh and dont forget you didnt even put the cooldown wrecking behind prof/rebel lead so now people can park R1 under exec or leviathan to completely neuter someone else's exec and the best part is that person will never be able to know until its too late since you didnt even make the ability require this stupid ship to be called out of reinforcements before it takes effect. Great game design. What a bunch trash this game is becoming. Between this and the terrible relic delta nonsense yall must really be in the mood to hemorrhage players.

If you want to rebalance things, so be it, but with the appropriate strategy, Profundity has ALWAYS been capable of beating Leviathan fairly reliably. It required careful play and a precise sequence, so it was by no means an automatic win for inexperienced players, and leviathan was always clearly the superior fleet. Whatever you do, do not make it IMPOSSIBLE to reliably beat Leviathan with Profundity. Leviathan has been buffed at least 5 times already. It's always been the best fleet once the very initial bugs were fixed. Having counters does not make it bad. It makes for reasonable gameplay.

Here's an Idea CG. Instead of nerfing or buffing, Just add another sith Ship. Like Darth Sidious's ship he took to Mandalore since that would be lore accurate. Allow certain starting ships counter or prevent counters to certain match ups. Tie dagger counters the Empire ships and sidious prevents profundity countering it. Duh!
