Resetting it to level 5 and tossing currencies back doesn’t undo the damage. People planned TW, GAC, and roster investments around this Datacron because of the way it functioned, not because of some hypothetical “intended” version that only exists after the fact. Retroactively changing power after players commit resources is lazy balancing and destroys trust.
If you can’t properly test or accurately describe your own mechanics before release, that failure shouldn’t be paid for by the player base. Calling it an “issue” once it starts impacting competitive balance just confirms what everyone already knows — fun and player agency get nerfed the moment they don’t align with your spreadsheets.
This isn’t transparency or fairness. It’s moving the goalposts after the game has started, and players are right to be pissed.
