For a slower pace, Sims can stroll the rolling hills and idyllic countryside of Whispering Glen. Steeped in ruins and rumors, it’s a paradise for collectors and historians alike. Explore the local Crypt, investigate the Tarot Tome Shrine at the base of the ruins, garden in the shared community plots, or gather collectibles. Whatever you do, stay until the moon rises. Each night, Whispering Glen hosts the local Moon Revelry festival, where Sims can swim under the moonlight, share stories at a bonfire, and dance. Things get a little wild during the Full Moon where clothing is entirelyoptional. There’s something otherworldly about Mourningvale. Maybe it’s the way the wind howls through the moss-draped trees, the eerie clang from the Bell Tower at odd hours, or the sentient plants. No matter the reason, many Ghosts choose to call this place home. The Grim Reaper has even been known to wander through now and then. Here, Sims can take a dip in the Baleful Bog to have an out-of-body experience or transition into Rebirth, partake in local customs at the Thinned Festiveil, or make peace with their mortality at the Afterlife Anonymous meetup. Whatever happens, a trip to this neighborhood is sure to send a shiver down the spine. Sims Only Live Once, Right? There is a lot to do in a Sim’s lifetime and so little time! Keep track of everything Sims want to do to live their life to the fullest with Soul’s Journey, an all encompassing reward system uniting Aspirations and Wants. A Sim’s Soul’s Journey allows them to achieve rewards as they fulfill goals, with the ultimate reward being the ability to Rebirth a Sim with the special Burning Soul trait after their passing. Sims who are Reborn after completing their Soul’s Journey can unlock past Childhood Development Skills, Traits and Infant Milestones (depending on the age they come back as). They might also find special ties to Sims from their past life. Players can also ensure Sims achieve fulfillment by creating and completing their Bucket Lists. There are multiple ways for any Young Adult or older Sim to create a Bucket List. If left alone, a Sim’s Bucket List will naturally populate over time based on their Traits. There are also new interactions on the Computer and journal which allow Sims to write a random goal themselves, write a goal from a category (like Travel or Family), or write a specific goal. Completing a Bucket List has powerful rewards, including the ability to experience Rebirth. As a Ghost, Sims may also continue their Soul’s Journey to complete their Unfinished Business, which (if completed) will result in an even more powerful form or Rebirth with the Burning Soul Trait. For some Sims, leaving life behind is hard to do. WithThe Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion Pack, players can let their Sims linger on as playable household members where they can wreak havoc on the living or lend a helping hand. Ghost Sims who build special connections with each other can also pair up for a special, spectral Woohoo inside objects of all shapes and sizes. As Sims adjust to their playable Ghost Sims form, they can customize their looks in CAS, build Ghost Powers and even earn Fear or Goodwill essences from their interactions with the living to make simoleons. Yes, there is still room to grow in the afterlife! Grim’s the Boss Sims looking for a new line of work can now dabble in death with two new Careers: the Reaper Profession and the Undertake Career. In the Reaper Profession, Sims with an affinity for the afterlife can become Grimterns and work their way up to Reaper as they make a career out of facilitating the next phase of life for Sims. Work with Grim at the Netherworld Department of Death (N.W.D.D.) and even head off into the ‘field.’ Sims in this profession can experience reaper training with the all-around-good-guy-training-dummy, Kenny, maintain Grimtern Sims’ scythes, practice reaping souls on practice dummies, and determine causes of deaths for reaped souls. At higher levels, Sims in this Career can even determine which souls they’ll reap and which they’ll return to life. Once retrieved, souls can be placed in the Netherworld Portal to meet the soul quota. Grimterns who meet the soul quote are eligible to become Employee of the Month. The Undertaker Career is a classic career in which Sims will serve both the living and the dead. From grave digging to embalming, Sims who pursue a career in the funeral industry ensure all Sims can move on in peace. Specializing in this before-afterlife care prepares Sims for difficult moments like, Discussing End of Life services or Contemplating Existence. Six feet in they will be rewarded with a Plague Mask, a Murphy Membrane Bust, or a Corpus Commendation Plaque to honor their achievements. It has two branches that Sims can go down: either Mortician or Funeral Director. Honoring the Dearly Departed Mortality and the afterlife can now impact the way Sims interact with the world around them to help create unexpected and exciting stories. Experience the Ghost Historian Aspiration, unlock Horror Novels and receive the Ghost Whisperer Reward Trait, visit any lot with the Hallowed Grounds Lot Trait, try out any of our three new Traits (Macabe, Chased by Death, and Skeptic), delve into the Thanatology Skill, or experience Life & Death’s new Death Type: Death by Murder of Crows. There’s a lifetime of stories to tell. To prepare for their departure from the realm of the living, Sims can create a Will at the Town Hall in Crows’s Crossing, via the computer, or at the Family Day Festival. Through Wills, Sims can assign heirlooms to specific individuals, leave personal notes, set emotional reactions for loved ones reading the Will, specify how they want their remains to be handled, make Funeral planning requests and designate other Sims to care for their pets or children. If the entire Household passes away, Sims can choose to donate their simoleons to charity or another known Household. Wills can be updated at any point in a Sim’s lifetime. Losing someone is never easy, even for Sims.The Sims 4 Life & DeathExpansion Pack now allows Sims to experience four Grief Types: Denial, Holding It Together, Anger, and Blues. The Grief Type a Sim receives is based off of their traits and (if applicable) their relationship. Sims can Console About Death to other Sims, or cope positively with Grief by doing creative or productive activities while in the Grieving process. When at a Funeral, Sims can Offer Awkward Sympathies or Offer a Sympathetic Joke. Once Sims pass away, Funeral events can be planned and held. When planning a Funeral players can choose which Sims attend and who the Deceased is, select a Dress Code and Color for guests to arrive in, pick from a variety of fourteen different activities, and determine the location and time. Examples of some activities include Giving a Lighthearted Eulogy, Lighting Candles, Planting Something, or Serving Food. Each Funeral is unique, and sometimes Ghost Sims may even appear at their own Funeral! Sims can also honor the dearly departed by setting up Memorial Displays with a portrait of the deceased, selecting which Urn or Tombstone they want, decorating a Gravesite, leaving them a message on a special memorial statue, or by interring their Urns in Crypts. What happened in your game today?
Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the new forum so far. I know I am!! I'm Charla, a big fan of The Sims 4! ☺️ I was going to join on the old one, but, as it only had a week left I decided to wait until today. I loved lurking on the what happened in your game today thread so I thought would create a new one here. So what's happened in your game today? Today in my game I was playing as a character I created, Lauren Lord. She's an young adult, who dreams of being an author and a mom. Currently she's working as a school teacher, but today she had no work, she stayed at home and played chess and tended to her plants (when it wasn't raining!). I also made this new Sim :) hope the pic works! Look forward to seeing what's happening in your games. X
EA Forum/Old Sims Forums Account Help
Hi! Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong category, I am looking for some help regarding my old Sims Forums account. I've reached out to EA Help and they said that they are "unable to check your forums account since we are only able to look into EA Accounts here at EA Chat." When logging into the new EA Forums all my badges were missing and my post that was confirmed to be migrated is gone. This is a link to the old post https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/940008/mysims-legacy-challenge-last-updated-3-26-2023/p1 I was able to log into the old Sims Forums 2 months ago with my same EA account as this one. My old username was Alexis3142. I had changed the email for my EA account back in 2020 and I still have access to my old email. I dont know if that email change is the cause of this issue. Im not sure how to move forward or fix this issue or who to even ask for help. I had 10 year badges and many others. But mostly my MySims Legacy Challenge discussion is gone. I appreciate anyone who is able to give me some advice or point me in the right direction.
What radio station(s) will it be for Life & Death EP?
Since the new world called "Ravenwood" which was heavily based on Transylvania, I was wondering if we're getting any new radio stations for Life & Death expansion pack. Because it's been a longtime since the stuff pack and the expansion pack that were released this year of 2024 didn't include any radio stations. I'm thinking Transylvanian Folk station will be a perfect one to fit in What do y'all think? Cause I'm hoping that the Life & Death EP will be the last pack of the year of 2024 to have new music.

That's right, in my game this stunning woman will soon turn 100 years old! She won't be the first resident getting this old, but she will be the first I think that ought to be celebrated. She is still a major stockholder of Landgraab Industries, Inc. (making her one of the wealthiest residents of my kingdom), and she certainly left a solid (and perhaps aching) impression wherever she appeared. She currently resides with her cousin Agatha, in a cottage rented from the Rossie dukedom, with Agnes' son, daughter-in-law, and their little child who is Agnes' granddaughter, Agnella. Here is Agnes' family tree. But, how would you celebrate Agnes Crumplebottom's first 100 years? Tea party? Finchwick festival? Dinner with the regional Duke of Rossie? A night in the theatre? Somehow there was an old thread that existed on the site, but it seemed to get removed for some unknown reason. I thought that we should make up another funny thread - post your game-glitching screenshots here! One of my funny glitches was a teenage sim stretching! Funny!
What do you use the most?
Now we have many packs what are the things you use the most in the sims 4? Could be CAS, worlds, items, features, skills, traits etc. I almost solely play teen sims so I use the parenthood system for manners and responsibility etc. I use the photography and dance skills on every sim. I give every sim a digital camera and most get a boom box. My sims do high school a lot. I use the simple living lot trait on every lot and order from the grocer. I use cats quite a bit and I use the trainers from Incheon Arrivals on most sims. I listen to Latin pop radio a lot. Otherwise I use a lot of varied things and have different sims in different places but these things come up in almost all my games.
Recruiting other sims to the military
My Sim was just promoted to level 8 military, Lieutenant Colonel. His work from home task for the day is to recruit other Sims to the military. It says to click on another Sim and select "Recruit". But I can't find any option to do that. Does anyone know how this works or what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance!Treasure Hunt for Retired Collectables?

Lovestruck Relationships Question
Hey all, I've been wanting to get the Lovestruck pack, but have been waiting to see if they fix the bugs and if the game runs well before getting it. One thing in the pack that I'm not sure of though, is the relationship decay of the romance meter, so I thought I'd ask the community. I play a lot of households in my main save, so if I switch to play another household, will the Sims I'm not playing have their relationships tank? From what I've seen, the feature is designed to make the player put effort into the Sims to keep their relationships in good standing, but I can't have all of my other Sims suddenly falling out of favor in their partnerships and marriages just because I'm not playing them. Have any of you found it difficult to play rotationally with this pack? I've been wanting so many things in this EP for so long, but if it destroys all the work I've put into my Sims romantically, it's probably not worth it. 😟 Also, I do use MCCommand, so if there's a setting for this pack to prevent such things, I'd love to know.
Possible twins glitch
I had 3 sets of twins back to back in game. It was three different families, one I didn't play at all throughout the entire pregnancy. I am not using any cheats or mods. No lot traits, reward traits, or anything that causes multiples. I don't really mind it, I just thought it was sort of odd. Anyone else having lots of twins in game?
How did you get started playing The Sims?
Well, to answer my own question, I started right at the very beginning when Sims 1 premiered in 2000. I was a telemarketer and I was put in charge of the back room and part of my duties was to collect and redeem the pop bottles from the break room and take them to a grocery store that was at the other end of the mall where we were located. At this time, Pepsi was doing this bottle cap promotion where you would enter numbers that were under the bottle caps, so I would snatch the bottle caps before taking them to the redemption center, and I took them home and entered the numbers. One of the prizes that I could earn was The Sims, and I saved up enough bottle caps to get a free copy of The Sims. (I also saved up enough to get other cool prizes like mittens and koozies and the like, lol!) Well, back then, all I had was a Windows 95 computer, so that's what I played Sims 1 on. I took forever to collect all of the add-ons, so by that time, Sims 2 came out. And I finally upgraded to a Windows 98 computer. It took me a long time to get Sims 2 and get all of the add-ons I was still playing catch up when Sims 3 arrived. Sad to say, but I never got around to playing Sims 3, and then it was 2014, and they announced The Sims 4, so I skipped Sims 3 entirely and went straight to Sims 4. And then about a year later, I joined the old Vanilla forum. And here I am, 10 years later! Okay, so what's your story?Post Your Old Avatar ....
After reading about so many people feeling lost without their old identity, or finding old friends, having only recognised them before by their avatar, I thought maybe we should have an avatar thread to identify each other, or to make yourself feel more at home again. It makes no sense to me that a vampire can't learn magic. That being a witch or a vampire are 2 different lifestates. Anyone should be able to learn magic. Now I'm led to understand that there CAN be hybrids as in a child born to a witch and a vampire. But how the heck does that work out in terms of gameplay?Have you ever had a lot disappear from the gallery?
I started with again with an empty world and was placing all my saved houses and families. I discovered one house was missing from my library. I must have deleted it at some point for some reason I can't fathom. Anyway, no biggie, I knew it was in the gallery. Or it was... it's no longer there. All of my other builds are there, but not that one. I did a search to look at other people's builds because I was considering using one of those to start with rather than starting over from scratch. As if to rub salt in the wound, I found my build in someone else's catalogue without the "original by" tag. I know some people might think it's nuts because it's a Sims 2 house and they are all going to look similar, but I know this is my build. I'm not going to bother the other person, we all know this is a risk when you upload things and clearly they made enough changes to get the "original by" tag to go away. I've decided to just start again from scratch and make a few changes. I'm just so aggravated. Has anyone else had this happen?Questions I hope the Life and Death EP Trailer answers
If we already have a Grim that we've taken out of the game to make a playable character, will this pack affect that existing Grim? Will this pack affect any relationships that a pre-existing Grim in game already has? (my Grim is not about to divorce his wife and give up his 90+ kids) Will this pack actually allow us to play the Grim Reaper as a fully functional character? I just had a club gathering. The intention was to build club score in order to open up for one more member slot. It did not work quite as intended, because most members found a mirror and spent all the gathering talking to their mirror. One club activity is to give a speech, so I though this was good, but it turned out talking to a mirror was not adding much points, if any at all. Now i wonder why did they all flock to each their mirror? I checked if mirror talking could actually be a club activity but fund nothing related.
