- Only on next round. Secondarily if more players were to join, there would be greater latency issues. For the afk players, either push them into the open or in a couple cases like zen peak off the cliff. I dislike the star farmers a lot, but until an adequate security system is set up to disable outside programs like that, they will keep appearing. I would be interested since this is dm to have a character limit restriction (I.e not all players choose to be brains, torchwood,imps, etc.) as I have played a couple matches earlier that relied only on this type of thinking.
1) Imp is a big problem too. Search the whole map and find nobody then 3 mechs pop out.
2) They need to do something to level the sides...perhaps letting a player switch to losing team after 2 rounds or something
3) The big time zone is collapsing flashing across the middle of my screen while I'm playing is beyond annoying...can barely see anything
4) The amount of time to wait between rounds is way too long
5) The fact that I can't move my character at all at the first of a round even to turn around, is making me rage for some reason
With a few tweaks this could be very fun, but most games are too lopsided right now at least on PC. I've only had a few competitive rounds that went to 5, and that's usually because people joined in the 2nd or 3rd round. I really wish they would allow me to switch to losing team to help balance.
People haven't seemed to wise up yet that the sunflowers are the perfect char for plants, specifically Stuffy, with two ways to regain health and/or Vampire, since it regains health as you shoot.
Im enjoying it overall. Imps should have a cool down between rounds for mechs. Or at least some sort of delay. I’m use to exiting out of an ability with O,B. So I’ve suffered from that change a couple of times. All in all I wouldn’t be upset seeing it again in the future. It could count for the cats and Dino’s achievement as well for those who don’t have it.

I also find Mechs very unfair to play against 👿. And I don't like that you don't spawn only at the beginning of NEW games, but often in the middle of an existing match during the third round or so.
But well, it's also not cool that people quit in the middle of it. And of course, if they only stand somewhere doing nothing. - Often, these people who stand around manage to survive as the last player of our team and seem to have fun when we all watch their strolling casually around (only if on one else lives anymore) or sitting in a bush. 🤒 The bush sitting looks funny, though. 🥳
I especially don't like sunflowers or scientist who don't even TRY to heal someone (or just place a healing station), also in multiplayer. During the Bigfoot event I shot and danced around a sunflower who just STOOD there doing nothing whilst I had only 10 percent life. Wo does that????
However, I kind of like the soil survivor event, because it's rather quick and you get stars, other than on Wallnut Hill where it was bugged.
On our European server (PC) they don't seem to do matchmaking with ranks... I'm happy for that, because I mostly play private or solo games, multiplayer only sometimes (too old for that action and speed, lol). Which means that even if I'm working towards a higher rank and hoping to get it maxed before GW3, I'm not someone you want to have in your game for making great kills. I more like to be a supporter.
My kid is the hero of vanquishes and she's such a great sniper (don't we all hate them, lol) in GW1 and GW2. If I am in a multiplayer game, she often joins me and sees that my team doesn't lose because of me. Rather embarrassing. 😳

I also ended up walking into invisible spikeweed multiple times. I think it can be spammed and does not despawn, same with potato mines.
Was overall ok when i played it. But some broken elements just make me wonder what the guys at Popcap are doing.
Even idle players should be addressed by now. Or the cases where people leave and suddenly its 3 vs 5~
Not sure if they changed the speed at which the circle closes but it seems much faster to me tonight when I played...got caught in it a couple of times. Also, had an issue where the game got stuck on waiting for players even though we had 6 or more...people would drop and rejoin and nothing, I gave up and quit for the night.
I like the game but yeah, it's a bit buggy. I have seen where if you're doing character customizations while the game start timer goes to zero, the game kicks you out of customizations and into play. This is perfectly ok with me but when you're forced into play, I have found that I'm unable to move. I either have to get vanquished or let the arena shrink to give you a nudge forward. It appears that I'm just standing there collecting stars when in fact, I'm actually stuck.

I feel the same when I'm being thrown into a game at the third round or some such, so in the end it looks like I had done nothing for my team whilst in fact I couldn't do nothing, because I was just popped into that group rather late. - Sure, experienced players will see that, but there are many many newbies at the moment (how can anyone even have level 0014 or something???) who would think that odd.
I also had the same experience as plant at Z-Tech with the big Robot. But not every time.

I want to give this one a try over the weekend. It sounds cool and unlike other BR games you don't spend 90% of the match trying to find a decent gun. I imagine that mechs and chompers are problems (mechs for high health in a limited area and chompers for that one hit vanquish chomp). As @Gormey points out, Sunflowers would be excellent for plants, and especially Vampire and Stuffy variants for the extra healing stars or self-healing. I imagine scientists would be as well although not quite as much. I wonder if using a healing station would be better than a beam on this one? I usually use the beam and the mega-heal ball as a scientist.
When play split screen and split between plant/zombie, after one die, we can use other side as a SPY!
This's a good feature to help out your buddy win the game since we can exactly what remaining opponents location and what they are doing.

Chompers and imps pretty much break this game mode. I did have some pretty good luck with paleo, but in general team stick close together making shotgun scientists less viable.

I wasn't sure myself as i always ended up dead when hit, but now i know. A direct hit is 100 damage. Splash can scale down to like 60.
Popcap made this a learning experience. 😕
Justin tweet that this Zombos attack at beginning of the round will be fixed, most likely on next update, who knows when, probably when this will show up on the portal or permanent.
Oh, I see. His projectiles. Like I said, I don't play vanquish maps very much. Doesn't the robot itself just pass through you though?

After playing this mode quite a bit I really do like it and hope it makes a regular appearance. Just get rid of the huge text message that the storm is shrinking in favor of a noise or something or put the text in the corner of the screen. It blocks my sight in the middle of the fight every time.
Play as an imp, 1 vs 1, and I don't know what is the last plant and where is he hiding. Just to be sure, I go into my Mech.
As the continuum is shrinking smaller and smaller, my mech fuel is decreasing less and less, all my teammates are watching, I hear something, but I still can't find where he is, he really plays hide and seek, my heartbeat increasing, it's a moment of truth....

I just played for an hour straight with zero issues!!! Here's to hoping it's remedied.

Mechs should have a delay of 15-20 seconds (from the start of the round) before they can activate their 3,000,000 health. I mean, uh... mech.
=]I heard from @dwooten77 that the game is now adding AI players in order to fill lobbies. Interesting.
It does nothing to solve the REAL problem, which is AFK players. What I think would be pretty cool is if the game took over control of a player's character after a certain duration of inactivity, turning them into AI.

@pandareno1999 The AI replacement would be great for casual AFK players who just stand around. Problem is that many of them use macros, and if you have AIs plus AKFs combined - that make's for a "great" team. 🤒
I got streak master once tonight from finding a place on the roof of aqua center where I could shoot three AFK players in their spawn.
