PVZ GW2 Startup Lag

For some really dumb reason, when I first load in a game and spawn in the backyard, I get horrible lag spikes that are unbearable for at least 5 minutes and then they stop. This is the same when I join a match or go through a portal to a different map. It is super annoying and it started happening when I updated my graphics card driver. Then I reverted back to the old graphics card driver to try and fix it but even then it was still happening. I have tried every setting and I am stumped. I really do not know what to do and it makes me mad just to think about it. Hope you find some way to fix it.
