Spore Key purchased from MMOGA

I recently purchased a key from MMOGA.  I have been trying to use this code to get the download for this game but I keep getting error messages.

I used EA Games and the error message was:  that the code was incorrect or already used.    

I was then told  to use EA Origin Client.  And now it tells me that the code can not be redeemed here but to go to http://help.ea.com/FAQ.
