Star Wars Jedi fallen order xbox 1- robo jail bd1

For some reason once I reunite with BD-1 in the robo jail; he won’t slice open the door. I found the switch hidden in the wall. But when I walk up to it I get no interaction. I really don’t want to have to restart the whole game
