As soon as the mission starts i have to follow Gunny and i do but then she just starts flying in circles and she just continues doing that and nothing happens if i follow her.
Saw a youtube video where the player follow her and gets to a point where he eventually have to fly to a jump point.
But i never get that. I just fly around and around and around and so on.
I experienced something similar in another mission. I had to restart the mission and wait for all the instructions before going and blowing stuff up.
Looks like multiple people have reported this issue. I suggest you chime in on one of the bug reports - will likely be more helpful to you.

I'm having the same problem. I'm at the point where I saved the captured Star Destroyer from Lambda class shuttles and Gunny just flies in circles with instructions to follow her. She wants to call for Y wing support, but it never comes. My wingman just fly in formation. I've taken out the TIES the Quasar Carriers, and nothing happens.
