Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Crashes on Startup

Product: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Platform:Steam-PC
Summarize your bug When I launch the game, it runs the intro logos, then immediately crashes.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I have no idea
What happens when the bug occurs? It crashes the game
What do you expect to see? I expect fixes to this game breaking bug soon.

I try to launch the game, and it plays the intro, then it crashes to desktop.

Initially, I suspect your machine does not meet the system requirements below.

The issue is likely you do not have a compatible GPU or your PC is not using it.

Check that your display is connected to your video card and not the video output of your motherboard.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    OS: 64-bit Windows 7/8.1/10
    Processor (AMD): FX-6100 or Equivalent
    Processor (Intel): i3-3220 or Equivalent
    Memory: 8 GB
Graphics card (AMD): Radeon HD 7750 or Equivalent
Graphics card (NVIDIA): GeForce GTX 650 or Equivalent
DirectX: 11 Compatible video card or Equivalent
    Hard-drive space: 55 GB

  • Sometimes, the game works properly and I get to play it for a few hours. Sometimes the issue still persists. It can' t be system requirements.

I wanted to say I am experiencing the same thing. I launched the first time and it ran 15-25fps on my system i5-10351g 4 core/8 threads 12gb ddr4 with Intel- UHD -G1 graphics. I was happy with that performance and the story helped. I finished the first chapter and quit. Went baack to start playing again and it refuses to run. the opening videos play crashes to desktop before main menu.

  • @jholt5638 I had the same issue today! after some fiddling I discovered the solution. first locate the game shortcat in your desktop, then right click it with your mouse and click on properties, then go to compatibility tab and make sure the run as administrator is checked and lastly enable high DPI ( the button right at the end of the tab) and select system in the drop down menu, and the hit ok and again ok and you are done!
  • My game crashes at the unreal engine symbol every time i launch, ive tried everything ive found on google and steps EA Suport have suggested.
