@LoouiseSan Thanks for the detailed post.
Unfortunately from what I can see there may be a local component.
There was an issue in the past where the application to install is appearing but it wasn't displaying correctly and wouldn't progress due to this.
It sounds like a bit of a strange one, but it's easy to check for, if you go to Control Panel > System > Display then check if your size of text, apps and other items is 100% (recommended) and that the display resolution matches your monitor's native one. If one of these is inaccurate, you can try updating them.
If this step proves fruitless, it looks like there might be something local blocking this. @LoouiseSan You mention your security software in your first post, can I check what it is? Would you have any further whitelisting options available?
Restarting with a Clean Boot to disable all 3rd party programs/overlays, then trying again may help too.
@Kanziey That is interesting. How does it fail exactly? Is it the same as described as the first post here,or does it occur differently? Out of interest, if you happened to grab Battlefront II when it was free on Epic a while back, does that also fail for you now? None of these worked for me, If I try to launch it from the epic games app it opens up the EA app, and vice-versa, but the game itself wont launch. The EA app says to check my connection, and that the game failed to launch.
Hi, I'm having the same issue. I suspect it's due to a problem in the Link2EA process. When trying to install the game, it downloads the EA app. When clicking to install the game again it opens a window for a split second, closes it and sends the message ‘please wait while we install the partner application’. I tried everything, from uninstalling and re installing the app, disabling anti-viruses and changing display resolution.
If I run the Link2EA exe myself from the EA desktop folder, and try to launch the game after, the app starts an infinite loading sequence, but there is no error message anymore, so the problem has to be with the Link2EA process I think.
- @11LAK11 How did you manage to install the game?
The epic games app says its not istalled, but the ea app says it is.
- @HPitbb do you have the same thing, where epic says its not installed and constantly tries to open the ea app?
- @11LAK11 Yeah, but my EA app doesn't say it's installed. Just the Epic launcher trying to start the EA app and failing
Hello Try closing all launchers and try installing the game from GOG (import both epic and EA) that worked for me
Hi, with Fallen Order the same happens as with Survivor I get the same notification. I Dont have battlefront II but this also happens with Star Wars Squadrons.
GOG only launches the EA App for me. I have the game installed via EA App but GOG doesn't see it as installed. I also have the problem of Epic Games not showing the game as installed and just saying to please wait while we install the partner application popup.
Just would like to add that I'm having the same exact issue as you are. Hopefully someone can uncover a solution.
I sure hope so. I work overnights so my time to play is limited and this is my last day off until next Wednesday morning. I was really looking forward to starting to play today but now I don't know if that will happen.
is the game not starting??, my problem was that i couldn't get the game to download and now its downloading in the EA app(when i sed it worked)
For me, it opens the Epic Launcher and forces me to install the game through it. As mentiond before it's not working. Do you have any other ideas?
For me the game won't start at all. GOG just redirects me to the EA App. I start it with the EA App, it loads the Epic Games Launcher which then tells me to please wait while we install the partner application and then nothing happens after that at all.
The Epic Games Launcher won't even see the game as installed even though it is and just keeps trying to install the partner application, which is already installed with the game installed via the EA App. GOG won't even see the game as installed.

man that sucks...i had the same problem with watch dogs legion and the fix was to delete (.egstore) from the installation folder of the game, that is the folder that connects to epic maybe if you delete that you can start the game from the EA app
When trying It Takes Two demo I'm facing the same problem,it's defently not related to the game itself.
Unfortunately I can't seem to find that file within the installation folder. Thanks for the help though!
- @2Leg1tx2Qu1t I did see on reddit that people were having that problem too. EA wouldn't recognize some of them as owning when they bought it on steam so they couldn't install it either. So it seems to me like there are several problems occuring with connections between the EA App and Steam/Epic Game Store. I really do hope that a solution/fix/workaround is found for all of us!
did you find a fix?
Not yet unfortunately. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the EA App and Epic Games Launcher plus the game itself multiple times and nothing has worked.
- @petros4990 I also couldn't find that file but thank you for the tip!

Issue Resolved
Hi everyone,
We have received a heads-up from Epic Games that they've resolved the issue that was causing this Epic Games Store Launcher x EA app error.
Could you please restart the Epic Games Store launcher & the EA app and try to launch the game via the Epic Games Store launcher again to see if it is now also working correctly for you?
It is possible that you need to update the Epic Games Store launcher.
