Major flickering graphics bug on PS5 Pro

I reinstalled Jedi Survivor to replay it in higher fidelity on my new PS5 Pro and discovered that it is borderline unplayable now on Koboh as all foliage (and a lot of smaller edge shadows on small objects) flicker wildly at all times. It doesn't matter if I move around or stand completely still, all trees, grass and bushes look like they are having a rave party.

It happens in both performance and quality modes and nothing changes if you turn on/off any graphical settings. There is a bit less flickering in quality mode, but it's still there and very noticeable. HDR/SDR, motion blur, nothing makes a difference and the foliage just flickers all the time.

    The unfortunate reality is that Respawn has historically been... not very fast at fixing issues, so I don't expect they will be fixed for a couple of months, at least.

    @Eruannster Yeah I just watched that video. And I see articles about it on Twitter, so it's good it's getting traction at least. Also PSSR itself could be improved upon as well.

    @312848683dfb25ff Hmmm, interesting. So they may not be able to update the actual PSSR used on the game... In that case they should go back to FSR. I'd rather have the blurry image than a flickering one.

    It seems like the Avatar game just shipped a hotfix that just adds a toggle to disable PSSR. This seems like a good temporary option to buy time until they fix it for real. At least it would solve for not looking *worse* on PS5 Pro vs PS5.

    @Eruannster Yeah I got my Pronlike a week ago I finished Fallen order and started playing Survivor today and as of now, the issue persists, and yes it looks incredibly annoying and not a good user experience, that’s the problem with new tech, Sony should also be cooperating with the rest of developers as the shimmering and flickering issue is happening on a lot of pro patched games, and some of them have fixed it. But clearly there is an issue With PSSR

    I went to my ps portal to check if the issue translates to the image displayed by the portal, which it should I mean you are streaming the same image the only thing that changes is the resolution but the console is managing it you can even change the graphic modes through the ps portal, but the issue is not present in the portal just the tv tomorrow I’ll switch to 1080p on my tv just to see if I can force it to display on 1090p and see if the issue persists.
