Allow side mouse button binds.

I am also really missing being able to dodge with mouse button 4 or 5 on PC. I used one of these thumb buttons to dodge in Fallen Order. It won't let me bind them in Survivor.

think it might be a you issue? I have mapped a lot of my stuff to my side buttons on my Scimitar Pro, I couldn't prior until I figured out that I had to use the stupid arrow keys to navigate to the "unbound" option for what I wanted to bind

I cant bind mouse 4+5 either, it binds something when you hold m4+5 together, but it only says "thumbmousebutton" and ingame both work as the same command.
So basically both buttons bound to the same thing.

This is annoying as hell and I am pretty mad about spending so much money (deluxe doesnt get refunded on epic, yay) just to be screwed over by something that is (or should) be standard nowadays.

Specially when devs claim mkb is "fully supported" "just as fallen order" when fallen order did not have this issue at all.

This workaround doesn't work with my Logi Lift. Any other suggestions?

I have one other suggestion, but I haven't tested it to see that it works.  After digging around in the game files, I found that the key binds are stored in the GameUserSettings.sav file.  For me this file is located here:

C:\Users\<my username>\Saved Games\Respawn\JediSurvivor

When I open this file in Notepad++, I can do a search for the word "thumb" and I find four instances where my side mouse button ( that is, "ThumbMouseButton2") is mapped to  these actions

- Evade

- Dismount

The suggestion: bind your specific action to a unique keyboard key or mouse button.  Open the GameUserSettings.sav and search for unique keyboard key or mouse button.  Replace each occurrence the name with "ThumbMouseButton2" or "ThumbMouseButton3"

It's a long shot, but at least it's something.

Razor Synapse can bind any of the mouse buttons to any keyboard action. Works well. I like push pull as the thumb buttons, but the rancor is still killing me. 

I use the Logitech G500. And though my mouse is on the older side, it supports remapping. But Survivor does not seem to support more than thumbmousebutton1 and thumbmousebutton2. I have tried remapping my third(and others) mouse button to F13, as well as a normal keys like 5, but the game will not recognize it. Fallen Order, as well as every other game I have played in the last decade, have supported the other buttons natively or with a remap to a keyboard key.

Oh, arrow keys. Of course, why would a GUI use a mouse for navigation in 2023? *sigh*

Thanks for the tip. I had to press right arrow first, and then I could use up and down arrows.

I also couldn't directly bind a side button.

For me, the solution was to hold the side button I didn't want to bind, and then hold the side button I did want to bind. That has worked.
