The low rendering resolution on PS5 is actively giving me a headache
I have to give it to this game, it's actually impressive how the low rendering resolution is giving me a headache. I played about an hour earlier around the Koboh village area (with the new patch installed) but the super low internal resolution actually causes visual fatigue.
As Digital Foundry found, the game barely ever renders around 684p-864p in performance mode with a very ghosty, poorly implemented FSR upscaling which makes perfect sense, because the vegetation is the most shimmery, temporally unstable thing I think I have seen in any Playstation 5 title ever. Sometimes it even rivals Playstation 3 games in how little detail there is.
I've also spotted some extremely slow-to-load textures around the world area, so I guess we should be really thankful the game takes up ~140 GB of storage with textures that don't actually load until after I have walked past them.
If I could return this game I would, but the store I bought it at don't accept returns, so I guess I'll just have to hope and wait that it improves in "the weeks ahead" as the EA Star Wars account so kindly told us. I wonder when the game will *actually* release as a playable title instead of a beta/early access version that we got now.
