I know this is this is kinda late but wondering if your still having this issue. If so try to reset the mission to see if that works.

Problem still exists today and there is no way to do a "reset". Can't abandon it. Even tried to change from Story to Veteran and then that locked it up even more in that you can't talk to Koth and there is no PLAY button to push to restart it. Show stopping bug.
Hmm reads like something similar to what a lot of players encountered a while back with Xalek on Ilum, players usually got stuck in the top right corner of the map, you were required to interact with the caved tunnel entrance past a small abandoned camp. For some it highlighted as it should, for others it didn't. It might be the same problem here?
In a situation like that i log out of the character i am on for a few moments and then relog, the highlight shows up or the item or NPC as well.
Could you try this and report back?
