Thanks!  I went through each step listed in your post and it worked.  The one new step I had not tried was going into services.msc and setting the BitRaider mini-support service stub loader to automatic.  That may have been the trick or it may have been a combination of several at the same time.

Either way I'm back in the Galaxy again.
