Ah, okay, today I logged into the game.
And that was a 1hp hacked game.
Hmm... it is completely unacceptable.
From when did this problem happen?
No action/announcement from EA, really? 😠
- @Sati_Sati they probably wont do anything before holidays end
they cannot fix it, and achknowledging the issue without fixing it would hurt their christmas sales
rather sell an unplayable game than lose money
sadly thats ea or any big business in a nutshell - @micbp
That's so true... I feel really sad.
Star Wars Fans will have new Boba Fett drama series next week.
So many of them want to play Star Wars game, like me.
(Who don't want to go Tatooine?)
And the current situation is terrible unfortunately... I'm more and more thinking EA is sabotaging their own game letting all the bad thing happen so eveyone stops playing it and they can make more money selling new games and stop worring about a game that doesnt make profit anymore. Maybe the hacks are even coming from them or that kind of stuff given how badly they are responding to this. Its not conceivable a respectful company would behave like this if they really intended to fix the issue
Maybe we should group and just post on theeirs fanpage and other sites to be seen and heard the "RIGHT" way???
hey, they actually acknowledged the issue
its no official statement by ea
but few reddit posts from dice developers is more than ive personally counted on
seems that some people at dice still care about this game at least
Trust me they care to a point, but lets be realistic here for a moment. Look at BF2142 abandon the title, BF3 abandoned the title with a ton of hacking going on, and soon BF4, and BFV. What does this all have in common, they bail on past games and build onto another, but think back players like myself who bought every said title, except for moving forward the newest titles as I have caught on to the gimmick as you and I and others spend 50 to 60 a pop, that adds up.
As the cash flow goes in they do some fixes and basic repairs and then boom deuces on said titles. They always get plagued with hackers and then when you go to report it they ignore it. They cannot tell me they do not ignore the issues as I have seen same hackers stay in game and return even weeks if not months later. Only reason why they make small comments here and there is due to possibly losing the fan base to other major titles.
At the end of the day am I bashing EA and the DEVS absolutely not, but am I going to continue supporting titles they drop and or make no comments on yep and specially with these moderators on here who I have witnessed remove posts, kick or do temporary bans on those who show videos of proof of hacking and they call it public shaming, its not public shaming when you want them to actually see what we the gamers are dealing with while trying to enjoy the game they created.
@micbpYour optimism is a pleasant quality, but unfortunately I don't see this getting fixed. People have been complaining about this 1hp bug for 3 months now. Surely if they wanted to fix it, they could've: DICE is a AAA developer with EA's resources behind them. Not to mention, the private servers (Kyber) made changes to keep hackers out. So why can't EA/DICE? The answer is... they don't want to fix it.
Battlefront 2015 was also overrun with hackers after being out for a couple years and it never got anti-hacker support and just died completely on PC as a result. I see the exact same thing happening here. I'd like to believe that someone at EA/DICE has a conscience and want to preserve their game's functionality on PC... but I don't, not after what happened in the first DICE Battlefront.
They have our money and now we can f*** off, as far as they're concerned. Cynical and sad but probably the truth. They're more than welcome to prove me wrong, and make me look like a sniffling baby who whined too much. But they didn't last time, so...This still hasn't been fixed - bumping cause of amount of repies and weird badge that it has a solution - IT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED
The game is unplayable on EA servers and EA clearly do not care. So go and host your own server on kyber or join someone else's. At least you can kick any hackers from the game straight away there, and only mods that you want will be used. From what I have experienced in the last week, kyber servers are way better than EA servers ever where. You do not need EA or their pathetic support for the game to still enjoy playing battlefront 2.
@ivkkyc98bqqwThe problem with Kyber is that most servers seem to have required mods lists that are longer than a CVS receipt. This means you have to separately google, download, configure, version match, and load order balance a dozen plus mods, all using an alpha version of a mod launcher that is still temperamental and doesn't work for all users.
Every time I open Kyber, I see maybe one half full GA/Sup server (20~ players). Everything else is single digits, or empty. I have to wonder if part of this population problem, is the pushing of expansive mods lists and an alpha version of a game launcher, right out of the gate.
Personally, I just bought this game a couple weeks ago, and because of the non-functional state of the "official" multiplayer, I still don't know how vanilla plays. So I'm not eager to go and grab a dozen rebalance and character/class replacement mods right at the outset; I'd just like a regular 'ole vanilla server without f***ing hackers everywhere. But maybe I'm just in the minority there, I don't know; all I know is it's got me stuck on EA's awful official servers, and that Kyber's player count never seems high enough.
To be clear, I love the idea behind Kyber and modded Battlefront 2; I remember putting hundreds of hours into assorted Battlefront 2 2005 mods. But that was only after I actually knew the regular game reasonably well, not the second I downloaded it. I'm not deriding their service, it just doesn't offer what I'm looking for at the moment (vanilla Battlefront 2 GA/Sup).EA Is too concerned with hiding the problem than actually doing anything about it... typical.
This is an easy problem to solve, just start your own server with no mods.
Adding that to the game in the first place would have made too much sense.
Last night I entered a Heroes vs Villains match in Felucia, I was in the dark side ready for action. As soon as the match started, my team was receiving a beating of explosions, one after another. After some confusion I started going up to find out what was it, when I get almost to the top, I saw Han Solo, floating in the sky throwing detonite charges without any cooldown. I immediately closed the game, I felt powerless, there is nothing I can do and if I try to do something, no one cares, EA is not doing anything for us anyway. So why bother, but I’m not investing another penny in an Electronic Arts game.
This game is in such * * state that you can't play it, too many hackers and there is nothing you can do about them. This game is ruined. Today I played only two games without hackers, otherwise hacking all the time.
Hacking will end as soon as EA shuts down the servers for ever. The game had always some cheaters playing, but now it's flooded with them. And the 1hp hack only makes it visible for everybody.
