@ivkkyc98bqqwThe problem with Kyber is that most servers seem to have required mods lists that are longer than a CVS receipt. This means you have to separately google, download, configure, version match, and load order balance a dozen plus mods, all using an alpha version of a mod launcher that is still temperamental and doesn't work for all users.
Every time I open Kyber, I see maybe one half full GA/Sup server (20~ players). Everything else is single digits, or empty. I have to wonder if part of this population problem, is the pushing of expansive mods lists and an alpha version of a game launcher, right out of the gate.
Personally, I just bought this game a couple weeks ago, and because of the non-functional state of the "official" multiplayer, I still don't know how vanilla plays. So I'm not eager to go and grab a dozen rebalance and character/class replacement mods right at the outset; I'd just like a regular 'ole vanilla server without f***ing hackers everywhere. But maybe I'm just in the minority there, I don't know; all I know is it's got me stuck on EA's awful official servers, and that Kyber's player count never seems high enough.
To be clear, I love the idea behind Kyber and modded Battlefront 2; I remember putting hundreds of hours into assorted Battlefront 2 2005 mods. But that was only after I actually knew the regular game reasonably well, not the second I downloaded it. I'm not deriding their service, it just doesn't offer what I'm looking for at the moment (vanilla Battlefront 2 GA/Sup).
