Re: My game keeps crashing on instant action and multiplayer while playing the game

Event Viewer - check those Application Error logs and get back to me with them. Screenshots are recommended.

I’m in the same boat. Currently trying to run the game on an Inspiron 3493 with these specs -

  • i5 10th gen processor
  • Intel UHD/GeForce MX250 GPU
  • 4gb of ram

Which is enough for productivity and stuff, but I got Battlefront and I’m trying to maximize performance! Though it becomes HOT. Earlier in a HvV match my Desktop Window Manager crashed. Maybe because I was recording via Game Bar

Just now, I got on to a game of Co-Op with decent performance, though very stuttery (I can tell when Taskbar reloads icons - Definitely a RAM thing!)

I’ll try to run BF2 on intel GPU tomorrow, getting late here.

Shows you don’t really need a good gaming computer to play Battlefront, imo

Do we have to add more ram on the pc or is it the game's problem for this?

  • 8gb ram is the minimum required for the game, so it’s okay.

Most likely the games problem here.

Reporting back about the BF2 on Intel Gpu, and it runs like a dream! On 100% resolution scale and on Ultra! Loading times were also a breeze. 60fps all ‘round. On battery.

Since this is somewhat related to the question, how long are you able to play until the game CTDs?

i can only play kamino even though that can stutter a bit. But most of the maps i played on CTDs crashed around 5-10 mins (sometimes at the start of the match on bots)

I don't know how to upload the crash logs in this because it has the mdmp file(i tried)

It kept crashing just now and it is very annoying that i can't play

  • Can’t figure out how to open game dump files

Just earlier I had an Instant Action on Felucia. No CTD

Try to scour Event Viewer > Application > Filter Current Log... > event ID 1000 (application error)

Then relaunch, play until the next CTD. Copy and paste what’s shown in “general”. Another post with an attachment showing an example will be posted soon.

Sorry if this sounds super complicated lol

There are no errors at all popped up. The game just usually closes after playing playing a few minutes on CTDs.

But what i do found is this in the event viewer.

"Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

    every single time.

  • Igfx are intel drivers. It’s the drivers

Have you updated them in recent times? Do you have option to roll back? Did you download your drivers through Acer Website?

also did your screen black out then when it comes back on, the game disappears?

Yes, for me the screen freezes but the sound keeps on for a few seconds then it blacks out and the game disappear just after...
