Re: Xbox Series X overheating?

Hey @pinky5150,

That's... quite concerning, isn't it? Shouldn't happen.

What troubleshooting steps have you tried already, if any?

I can recommend a few:

- Make sure that the game is installed on the internal storage of the console. If it is installed on an external storage (the expansion SSD for example), move it to the internal storage. From personal experience, this seems to fix a lot of peculiar issues.

- Turn off the Xbox by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console until it powers down > unplug the consoles power cord > wait 20 seconds > plug everything back in > press the Xbox button on the console to turn on the console.

- Clear alternate MAC address by going to settings > all settings > network > network settings > advanced settings > alternate MAC address > clear >restart the console.

Please let me know if these steps have helped in any way.

  • Thanks for your reply, I have tried 2/3 steps of which you had suggested.

I'll comment back after clearing alternate MAC address. Perhaps it works?

@pinky5150, well, you still haven't tried the other steps I mentioned before? 😅

Have you checked if your Xbox is fully updated as well?

@pinky5150, hmm, that's unfortunate. Have you tried some other steps as well already by any chance?
