Star Wars Battlefroont 2 on Steam Deck, endlessly requires the same update.

I got the game to play with friends, and my platform is Steam Deck because it was the only way I could play the game (internet is less than 100 Kb at home, so I need to visit the library to download the 90 GB). Through Steam, the game will go through the process of installing the EA app, and load an account before letting me access the game. However, each time that I get the game to connect to the servers, it will require me to install a new update, between 350 and 700 MB. Each time it's finished, I restart, but the game then tells me to update it again. I've done this four times now, but it never lets me play the game online.

I have tried changing whether a build of Proton is forced as a compatibility tool, I've tried clearing the cache, launching the game on a more stable, faster connection, and troubleshooting with EA Help, but I have yet to find a solution.
