I have tried everything with the antivirus by allowing the app to run with antivirus. I've reached out online for help with youtube videos offered and nothing has worked. I push play on the launcher and it goes gray and nothing happens. I've tried everything. I need help to launch this game.
Have you installed the legacy directx files

*just to add, I tried all of the above such as reinstalled swtor, checked all the ports and program access in my antivirus, even removed and reinstalled. None of that worked. I was only when I noticed a reference to directx driver missing did it get me thinking its a directx issue. Then I saw your wonderful post 🙂
which legacy directx is needed? is it directx_Jun2010_redist.exe
12 year old version is very old. sounds like a duct tape solution. i want to be sure before putting that on my new machine.
is there any official word from ea/swtor that the legacy directx is needed?
if this is a common issue, why not package it with the install?

it cant break the OS ... You are not "re-installing" directx , the directx setup is just installing the legacy directx files needed for swtor that windows 11 is missing
