Re: Sims 3 64 bit keeps crashing despite using lowest settings

Yes I have disabled Advanced Rendering and enabled Object Hiding. Sunset Valley still crashes but it at least lasts 5 minutes. 

My Mac specs are:

Chip: Apple M2

Memory: 8GB

MacOS 14.1.2 (23B92)

@Livzz1245  Just to be thorough, please move the entire Sims 3 folder to your desktop (again, if you have recently) and allow the game to create a new one.  Repair the game in Origin before loading it.  When you're ready to play, put Origin in offline mode and then take your computer offline, as in, disable wifi.  Don't change any default graphics settings, except for the resolution and fullscreen/windowed selection if you want.  Start another new save in Sunset Valley; you can use premade sims if you prefer not to spend time in CAS.

Please do all of this together, and additionally, play with the laptop on a hard flat surface, or elevated with the vents unobstructed, so it has the best chance to cool itself properly.

@puzzlezaddict It crashed about 2 hours into gameplay. This is the red screen I was talking about

@Livzz1245  Two hours is definitely an improvement though.  You can try playing with your computer online again and let me know how it goes.

For the red flashing, check the box to "Enable Object Hiding" on the graphics settings page, then quit and reload the save.

@Livzz1245  That's great.  Now you can try another world, or add back some other content, whatever you want to experiment with next.  But please don't add back everything at once—it's important to figure out what the problem is, if it's still present.
