Sorry for the delayed post, but I wanted to let you know I had that problem too. I think the aspiration problems for the Scussfull Lineage aspiration has been fixed, but for some reason the game won't fix it for current sims that got the aspiration before the December patch. I can verify its been fixed on both family aspirations because I had another family get it just see if it was fixed.
Also the tips on the aspiration goals are a little more helpful now, they tell you what you need to do or if it counts for both child teen or adult if you hover over the requirements.
The family lineage and Big Happy family have goals you can complete with the requirement saying your child means any relationship to you that is equal to your child, which could be any age as long as they have a son or daughter relationship with you.
The other ones that say child or teen mean have a child or teen complete or reach a certain level, or aspiration, this means any child in the household.
One of the other ones is have a child or grandchild reach the top of the career this means, one of your child or grandchild and not just any child or children.
The first part of both aspirations before adult or parent can be completed via any child none relation.
I hope this helps clear up a few things.
