Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Patch the game.
What happens when the bug occurs? There are many new and resurfaced bugs as the result of the Lovestruck patch/hotfixes.
What do you expect to see? A patch that doesn't break the game worse than it started.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Given the disaster that the Lovestruck patch 1.108 has been, as well as the similarly botched launches of the For Rent and Crystal Creations patches, I'd like to suggest that EA add an option in the launcher to roll back to the previous major patch. This way, when a patch release breaks the game too badly to play yet again, players would have the option of going back to a relatively stable version, provided they had backup saves they could use.
Letting players launch the game without forcing them to either patch or prevent the EA App from going online would also be helpful.
Of course, the real solution would be to invest in quality assurance and slow down the release cycle so that patches aren't released with severe game-breaking issues to begin with, but we all know that isn't happening...
