Make Daily Login Rewards Available to Everyone

There's been a lot of buzz around the Daily Login rewards, with most people expressing that they don't like the concept of them and many saying they're dissatisfied with the content. I think that's fair, considering this is an obvious tactic to get people to login due to FOMO, and the rewards are recolored and hacked up pieces from packs that we've already paid for.

I am in the position to log in and claim these rewards.

I'm not at risk of missing out on them forever. However, other people are. I don't want to hear any nonsense from people saying "there's plenty of time to claim them" and "all you have to do is login, click a button, and logout" because it's not that simple for everyone. Some people don't have consistent internet access, or will be away (yes sometimes people leave their homes for an extended period of time, what a concept) and unable to log in enough days to get the rewards, or simply aren't aware of the event and may not be until it's too late.

I hate the thought that others will miss out on these for whatever the reason may be. I'm not consoled by the fact that I can get them just fine, I want everybody to be able to have them.

So please, I'm asking you to make these freely available.

Add them to a future SDX drop, stagger them if you must to maintain the "exclusivity" for the people who got them from the daily rewards system, but don't give away recolors of items for content people have paid for and punish them for not logging into the game enough in time to claim them. This is so anti-consumer, and just one in a long line of changes that cheapens the game. I'm baffled that the developers were hyping up this idea before it dropped. All you've done is prove that you're excited to ruin the game you've built up over the years.

  • I completely agree with this post.

Unlike the OP, I am NOT in a position to log in quite as often as necessary to "earn" all of these rewards. I'm an old Sims player. I started back during TS1. That means I've been playing for about 24 years. I do NOT like that my favorite game has suddenly decided to punish me for being a grown up with a busy life. I am a casual weekend player. Some weekends, I'm out of town. Other weekends, I manage to grab a few hours for the sims. It's a relaxing and fun escape from the demands of other people. One of the things I miss about the old days, when games shipped on physical media, was that the developer couldn't come in change the game on you after you bought it. I don't like this change. I don't want this change. I would not have paid for a game that punishes me for being a casual player. I want to buy a game and know what I'm getting. I don't want that to change based on how much free time I have. That takes The Sims from a relaxing, fun experience to one of FOMO and regret. Do better, EA. Do better, and do better fast. If it's loyalty that concerns you, you definitely should be concerned: you might just lose a quarter century of it.

Just add the event stuff to the base game so everyone can enjoy it.

And don't do time limited stuff ever again

@EowynCarterI literally stopped playing and only logged in long enough to get the free stuff. So again, they got the OPPOSITE desired response from me (like the cart experiment). I just don't like being manipulated, had enough of it with my ex, haha. Seriously though, why can't companies understand quality content drives long-term sales, not stupid marketing games for the "short-term" win?

I just returned to The Sime after a few months of not playing the game to find the Happy at Home login event going on. I'm required to log in to the game on eight days, with only five days left until the event ends. Given that I won't be able to claim all of the rewards anymore, including the trait that comes with day 7, I was wondering whether the event may sometimes return in the future or whether I'm legitimately out of luck and missed the only opportunity to get the rewards.

I know the login event is over but I'm still sat here with only the first 2 event give-aways even though I play this game every single day. The freezer bunny was on my start page but clicking on it did nothing. I tried every single thing offered on this forum/site and nothing worked. I cannot be the only person who couldn't get these objects and I think those of us who play as much as I do or at all, we should get these objects! I've got well over 20k hours, I've been playing since day 1, I've actually had covid now for a week and still I'm playing! I have every single pack, every single kit, and it really bothers me to not have these objects in my game when I'm a very loyal fan/player! I seriously think these prizes/give-aways need to be given to all in a free update, it's only fair. Even for those who just couldn't login to the game as often as necessary, I mean life does happen and sometimes people just cannot get on here to play. So I'm asking please, give these objects in a free update! I never expect anything for free but these things WERE free and it's not my fault that I couldn't access them! And this computer I'm on? BRAND. NEW. Like not even 3 weeks old yet. Anyway I hope EA sees this and does something about it that's fair and I hope to see support from other Simmers!

  • Thank you for saying this! I have been playing since The Sims 1. I have bought every single pack for The Sims 4, that's over $1500. I don't play every single day, I go through phases and I do TRY (lol) to have a life off my computer sometimes. I pre-ordered Lovestruck and then checked the official website to read the news and found out that I had completely missed the log in event. And I'm really bummed about it!!

I know there are some mods where people have added the free content, so that's nice, but I don't usually play with mods and I like to keep my games as vanilla as much as possible. I know EA/Maxis are trying to engage the community with fun events but honestly I think "log in events" are kinda gross. It's bad enough that they have added the "buy packs" button and that they tempt you with content you don't have. Maybe I'm just salty because I missed out. But I do think that if you are a loyal player, or heck even a casual player, there should be another way to get the rewards.

  •  This is what I was hoping for! I played different games for a few months and returned to playing Sims again. I was met with this crap, and I can't get any of it now that it's August. Why ea? In total, I've played almost 2000 hours, and can't believe this! Make a free kit/pack like you did with the Christmas stuff, or the free guitar for verifying your email.

  • I Just hate the felling that i'll never have the 100% of the game. That limited time rewards by packs also are trash idea
