The Sims 4 - Future

Dear EA Team,

Regarding the recent rumors, we sincerely hope that if a new generation of The Sims is released, players who have already purchased Expansion Packs for The Sims 4 will receive the new generation together with the content they have invested in.

You repeatedly assured the community that The Sims 4 would be supported and developed for many years. Because of that, we expect that players who have invested significant time, money, and passion into this game will not be forgotten or left behind.

Additionally, a large part of the community keeps asking the same unanswered questions: where are cars, and where is a proper music-related with singers expansion pack?

 Sincerely,

A concerned Sims fan

  • My anxiety around a completely new Sims platform would be somewhat soothed if they allowed for us to take all our DLC's with.

If an entirely new game is released, that means building everything up from zero. Expecting you will have the next "big city" themed expansion pack in 2033 because you bought City Living in 2016 is like expecting GTA 6 to be free for you because you got GTA San Andreas on the PS2 in 2005 or the next ford car to be free for you because you have an old fiesta.

  • I actually want a new Sims title so we can start fresh. I only purchase what interests me, and don't get FOMO if I don't have 100% of the dlc.

  • I 1000 percent agree to this.

Also they was an interview maybe early last year or in 2024 where they said they didn't want players to start all over from scratch so it may be possible to carry over.
