I'm not sure what you mean, do you maybe have some screenshots? Also do you have CC (custom content)/mods?
- Cmehnt10 years agoSeasoned Ace
Hey there, I've got a gif showing what they mean.
It doesn't matter if they have CC or mods, as it affects both aliens in an unmodded or modded game from what I've tested out. Aliens were fine until some patches ago, where they started to age up to look like generic rng aliens instead of growing up with the features they're supposed to have.
Eyes would enlarge, slightly drifting to the sides, the nose will shrink, and the chins will become pointy. (I also attached some screenshots of an alien I took into CAS with exaggerated features to show how she looks like aging from Young Adult to Adult.)
I feel like this similar to the bug that affected male sims in October 2014 where they had the "wide jaw" glitch, however, this glitch only affects aliens that seem to have bigger noses and smaller eyes that were moved closer, farther, up or down, and chins that were more square to become sharp.
I also think this isn't reported as often since most simmers aren't really playing with their own aliens (non townie spawned aliens)... Or "pure" aliens, as this aging glitch doesn't happen to half aliens.

Hi @SandiieTaco
Thank you for bringing this issue to the community. Maybe you and @Cmehnt can also add to this post?
It is to my knowledge that simgurus review the forum more often. Unfortunately, fix or patch hasn't been introduced yet, so we'll have to stick with it a bit longer.
Hope this helps, happy simming!

Ah yes, I frequent the sims forum often (I've also posted in that thread that was linked, and decided to bump this one up as well since it's of the same issue.)
The bug has been there for a very long time now, as the simmer (TheBlaireWitch) who created that topic has made several topics of this same issue since October-November 2015. The issue has not been fixed since.
I'm right along with them, as I've had a few of my aliens get wonky due to it. It's upsetting. I hope they don't forget about them, since something like this can make CAS made aliens almost unplayable because they'd just revert to having weird "default alien" features again.

I thought this already had a thread.
Guess not.
Moved to bug reporting and added
- Thanks for mentioning me! The bug has rendered my favorite family unplayable as my last save is on my alien Sims birthday.
Eh. So i seached this subject for some time. but there aint alot of topics with it. and alot of the topics seem already months old. this one is the newest i could find. I figured this bug out after playing with my alien sim for some time.
I wanted to try the aliens since they seem more special to me.
I Played for long time cus i got my settings on long life.... so finally she was gonna age up and i was really exited .. untill i noticed her face looked totally deffrent after her bday. i found it abit odd. but i kept playing abit more.. (+ saved the game) .. i got annoyed that her face looked so wierd .. so i went in change outfit to figure out what the problem was.. and then i saw the face ._. IT WAS TOTALLY DEFFRENT .. i dont feel she look like herself anymore. and it makes me so sad, when i was so happy about her face.. (only the face changed for me.) i have seen people post that the body of their alien changed aswell.. I dont know but this bug seem to have been there for too long. and this is a bad bug. cus the fun part of the game is to see how your sim is getting older with the futures you made it with from the start! ..
Well..my Alien got a baby.. and now iam scared that the baby aint gonna look nothing like her parents cus of this stupid bug -.-' Thanks EA. Pls fix this problem. its really annoying and its a big bug!! - This bug is so bad.. It sucks out the fun of playing with Aliens... đ .the aliens aint even gonna be special anymore cus the customization is not even gonna matter. It makes normal Simmers special.. cus attleast they keep their fitures.
I Deeply hope this bug is gonna be fixed soon! Or im gonna be so dissapointed.
Sorry if my English is messy. đ Hope you guys will understand anyway.- crinrict10 years agoHero+

Hello, Cmehnt here again with some new info regarding this topic. đ
With the June 2nd 2016 patch, alien faces do not distort when you test them in CAS. However, they still remain unchanged in aging in game, so their faces will change when you age up an alien sim via birthday cake, and most likely with time as well. (I wasn't able to test my aliens who are ready to age normally without a cake yet.) Hopefully this means it's close to fixing soon.
- crinrict10 years agoHero+That's good news. Thanks for checking ng
I have also experienced this problem in my game. Crafting your own perfect alien, only to have their features change when you age them up, is really frustrating. âšī¸

Sad to see this is still not fixed. This affects all my alien children born via abduction, though interestingly not my created aliens. My gorgeous little children grow up to be pointy chinned, wide eyed and tiny nosed; they grow up looking NOTHING like themselves. This occurs both from modifying in CAS and aging via birthday cake. This needs fixing >< I have a town full of alien kids that I can't age up due to this hideous bug; I shouldn't have to keep manually editing my sims faces.

I'll have to check if my CAS aliens are having the same problem as yours, but I have a related problem. When in CAS, when aging my male aliens, their eyebrow or eye color will change without me actually changing them. It's really annoying.
- A year later, it's still an issue.
I have come across an annoying bug regarding the aliens, and I have had this problem since I first bought the expansion pack that came with them. Whenever I try to change their appearance in CAS they look alright, but when I change their age to either younger or older, their nose, and practically everything that I changed becomes more "alien-ish" and really weird. And the difference between before and after is really easy to spot since the age span that I changed to my liking continues to look like it should.
However, when I try to play that sim in the age span that I made it in originally, it looks alright until it ages up. Then it becomes just like in CAS with a weird nose and face, and it is really frustrating and sad since I love to play as an alien in the previous games. I have had alot of contact with the EA support in my country, and after trying everything unsuccessfully - including re-installing both The Sims 4 and Origin, as well as changing specific files in the game folder and removing caches, nor am I using mods - I got in contact with them once again, and I was told that there wasn't an actual "fix" to the bug. Instead they said that I should report it on this forum, so here I am.
I have also read on different forums that this is an ongoing issue for many players. I just hope that EA manages to acknowledge and solve solve this problem soon, becuase I love to play the Sims 4, but I did not want to buy an incomplete game. I just want to be able to play with my aliens.
Ps. I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, to be honest I became a little lost in all the different posts.

It's time for this to be fixed, please. Especially now that we have toddlers. <3
I want a bunch of cute alien kids, but it's frustrating when their birthday present from EA is a new, generic face.

Posted on this in the Bugs category on the forums. "Related, but having to do with disguised Aliens. When my disguised Half Aliens age from YA to Adult they take on the facial feature of Elders in their disguised form. I.E. Nasolabial fold and frown lines. I could probably go into full edit mode and fix this, but... annoying."
Turns out it can't be fixed even in full edit. This is my Alien sim in disguise that recently aged from YA to Adult. He now has the Elderly facial features. His Alien face also has the Elderly features, but slightly less pronounced.

I shared my save file with SimguruNick through dropbox. Should I share it with you as well? Not a problem, just don't want to create and confusion.
