PC Load times are incredibly long

I just started playing Titanfall a few weeks ago.  From the very beginning, load times are ridiculously slow.  I appear to be joining games about 30-60 seconds after everyone else, which may not sound like much but is an awful lot of waiting around staring at the load screen between each and every match!

I'm playing on the PC, pretty fast desktop computer, SSD that otherwise runs very quickly, Windows 7.  

I understand from searching around that this was a prevalent issue for many people after a patch that occured early last year, but at some point it looks like all the posts about it dried up.  Did the issue get resolved for everyone, or did those folks just stop playing?  I'm hoping this was simply fixed and there's some trick or setting I can flip to make this go away.
