@Caladrya Royalties usually run out after some time. Are you sure that's not just what happened. When you enter again, are you really at level 1 or does it just say that ? You should not fall below the level where careers split

The book hasn't been in my inventory since i published it.
I know royalties run out, but they usually get really low in cash before that. The cookbook was still over 300 simeleons before it just disappeared. Also why would I loose the ability to write cookbooks??? I mean she still has all the qualifications for that, it really shouldn't be needed to be actively in that career to be able to do that, if you already acquired the skill...
As for job level. I think it's roughly level 3? Not dishwasher level, still caterer. But it's still weird. I quit with highest level at 420simeleons per hour. Then would have the opportunity to get back into it with 280 or something. But now, since the book thing happened, I would get 52/hour as a caterer. is it supposed to recline with time?? And if so why? it's not as if skill or experience decline over time, so why should that?
Haven't tried cheating it back, since for the first time in probably forever, I'm trying not to use cheats (except for build mode cheats of course) :D
Guess I might just accept she's not a cook anymore. Its good to know though that such abilities vanish once you're not on that career level anymore. Hoped it would be more of a "unlock once, keep forever" kind of ability. ah well....can't have everything I guess.
