Re: [FIXED] Sheltered plants refuse to grow/ revert to pile of dirt

The sheltered plants on the work lot for scientist also only grow "in season." I planted a rose, and it stays as a dirt pile, despite being indoors.

I have this issue also. In my case the plants revert to a dirt pile mainly when a Sim sprays for bugs. Not all of them but most. They will also revert when moved like from one planter into another. And sometimes when just watering them. If the plants already bear fruits, they will most likely end up in the household inventory or just disappear into nowhere land. And sometimes just a few lie directly on the ground around the planter pot.

As far as I'm concern, gardening is the top feature in TS4. And therefore I'm really struggling to understand why they didn't test this new pack thoroughly before just unleashing it on the players. The newly added gardening methods and plants have brought so many problems into the game that gardening hast lost most of its fun.

And the worst of all is that most all the harvest ends up in the household inventory and can only be draged out one by one which is sometimes very time consuming, especially when there are 20+ products of one kind.

If they could at least add a "REPEAT PLACEMENT" feature like we have in the Sim inventory. People have been asking for such a feature for the household inventory for years!

    ETA:

Entering the game just know my cowplant got revereted also 😠 Sim can still interact with it as if it was grown. One mess after another!

I have had a problem with my sheltered plants too.  It seems like so many actions turn established plants into dirt piles.  I have had them turn to dirt piles after harvesting, after fertilizing them, after going into plan outfits from the mirror, after coming back from another lot, and when a season changes ( and sometimes it is the season the plants are supposed to grow that they revert to dirt piles, sheltered of course ).  Too many things seem to affect their reverting to dirt piles.

Gardening in one of the most important features of the sims 4 to me.  Some of my sims depend on gardening for their income, so it has become a real game breaker for me.  I play a game that has been around since 2014, and it has become so frustrating that I often avoid playing the game now.  I have never used mods or CC, and I have bought every pack so far, but regular long lasting game breaking bugs are beginning to enter my game now.

Sheltered and non sheltered plants revert to dirt pile at 7am in game time

    ETA:

As I wrote that my plants revert at 7am, I did a few more tests and played the game a couple more sim days and 7am is not always the case, BUT it sure happens sometimes when a rabbit comes in to help gardening. As you can see in my first picture, there is a rabbit who just did his job on my plants and they revert right after. Bringing all the animals into the game to help on gardening also has an effect on the plants reverting in my game.

    ETA #2:

Aug. 17th, 7:25 am- Rabbits cought in action/plants reverted

I am playing on PC with all expansion, game, and stuff packs installed and having the same issue. Plants are reverting to dirt piles at around 7am. I have tried removing mods, changing lots, sheltering and not sheltering, and they are still reverting to dirt piles. I thought it was only happening when going to manage worlds or traveling, but it occurred today while my sim was in the space ship.

@LuvMySimz Agreed, ongoing issue but I did not realize it was another game bug. I added a mod that is working on most plants to keep their growth. I also tried sheltering them and that helped with the ones that go out of season obviously as it should but I still have random mounds of dirt that shouldn't be. Mine happens across all lots I've tried and also in a new game save.

    - but when I looked up the the particular post just now, it's gone. I stopped playing TS4 a couple of month ago because of all the never-fixed bugs. Please don't tag me again, thanks!
