Question marks on a certain Sim on aging up (Issue with Face)

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.88.228.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to Work, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Discover University, Get Famous, Get Together, Island Living, Seasons, Snowy Escape, Jungle Adventure, Parenthood, Realm of Magic, StrangerVille, Vampires, Bowling Night Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Tiny Living, Toddler Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Age up specific sim (does not happen to any other sim) from child to teen, both in game and in cas
What happens when the bug occurs? When sim ages up their skin has black patches and is covered in question marks, does not change when changing the skin tone in cas, nothing else in cas (for example hair or clothes) is affected
What do you expect to see? The sim to have their normal skin tone like in earlier life stages, no question marks or black patches
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Operating System (Version) - 11.6

Mac model - iMac 21.5-inch, Late 2015

Processor - 2.8GHz

Memory - 8GB

Graphics - 2.8GHz (intel iris pro graphics 6200)

Are you attempting to play the normal version of the game or the Legacy Edition? - normal version 

 
Have tried a super repair and normal repairs. Really weird how its only the one sim, and only ageing them up - no problems ageing them down

    @anacuthbertson Looks like if you change the face of your Sim then it fixes the issue. So basically go to CAS with fulleditmode and then choose a different face after aging up. That gets rid of the question marks.

    I wonder if it has to do with the freckles. It doesn't work to just remove the freckles before aging up but I don't know what else about the face could be the issue.

    I know this isn't idea as you end up with a different Sim but maybe you can just remodel them to your liking. It's better than the question marks :D

    Hi there, I have this one sim that gets covered in question marks whenever I age them up? Its only affected that one sim. I’ve tried restarting my mac and repairing the game multiple times. 

    No mods or CC or anything.

    @Bluebellflora thank you for the help! As far as I can tell its not from a specific bit of clothing or hair or anything, just their skin? All bits in cas look fine on the sim and in the little thumbnails too. Its only on the sims’ skin and doesnt go away when you change the skin tone. hair and clothes etc are unaffected

    ive also noticed its only when you age the sim up? no issues ageing them down.

    i have quite a few packs and dont know if its a specific one causing the problem like the thread suggested - should i redownload all my packs? or just the ones relevant to what the sim had in cas? or do i need to uninstall and reinstall the whole game haha

    No, no need to back up files. It's affecting the installation, not the user data folder. Although of course, backups are always recommended 🙂

    After you've done the super repair make sure to do a normal repair too so the packs are included.

    Oh no ☹️

    Launch the game and click on load game, click on the affected save then hover over the copy icon to see the file path:

    (The graphic has changed a little since I took that screenshot but the principle is the same)

    That’s showing you which specific save it is. Go into your Sims 4 saves folder, find the save file with the same file name and then upload it to a file sharing site for me to download.
