Re: Sims 4 won't launch after installing mods

The same thing has been happening to me, I went through everything, I even did the 50/50 method, but nothing's helping. Any suggestions?

Take the complete folder out and try the game @smtowngrl27. If that doesn't work please make an own topic about it.

Ok so what i did was:

1)Take out the mods folder (then it replaces itself once restarted) and put it on desktop

2)go into the game

3) get out of game

4)Take each piece individually and put them in.

5) After putting each individual cc in, go into the game and see if it works

6) If it does work, get out of the game and continue step 4 and 5

7) if it doesn't work delete that individual cc that you put in

8) check to see if it works now

9) continue until all wanted working cc is in game and the game works

And there you have it, that's how I got it to work

Approximately a third of my package files or more  prevent the game from loading. I've tried the 50/50 method but obviously that couldn't work because there was just too much. I have around 6,000 files some of them new, and I've been going through my favourites singly which is enough to make you cry. At first I thought it might have been the game so I repaired it and when that made no difference I uninstalled it and reinstalled again. Nothing's changed. 

There are tools at Modthesims which can help you. I'm not allowed to  link them but they are easy to find.

that process took me 3 hours AND ALL OF IT IS GONE!

This is a great method and it works very well but, it is also very time consuming when you are like me and you downloaded two youtubers entire sim cc lists. What is wrong for me is Is I make households and move them in but once I move them in and it puts me on the lot the sims have disappeared and where the pic should be of the selected sim is just the background of the lot. Also, there is no phone access due to sims being gone. And when I would leave the game and get back in the households would not be there; only my past ones. I saw another page on here that said if you had MC Command Center it could be out of date and that could be why. So I removed it and I am going to download the latest version. When I get back in the game it shows my households again but I have the same issue in game on the lot. I got The Sims 4 Tray Importer used as a quicker way to get rid of Sims 4 broken and cracked sims 4 CC.I trayed it and trashed the CC but it is still there in game. I probably have to delete it too which I will try next. But, what about my other issue in-game? What do I do? Can  just not have CC? Do I have to go through it one at a time like BabyLotion13 said? Please, please help me!!!! Thanks so much.

Thank you so Much! this did take me a lot of time since i have 2008 cc (at the moment) But it took me a while but it helped. i was playing without cc for so long because when i added it in it wouldn't load! it isn't very pleasing (for me) to play WITHOUT cc!

Well, cc is at your own risk...

But you could start by checking out this list out for some mods that were broken in the Jungle Adventure patch

 I'm sorry but I have the same problem and don't you think that would take AGES? I have 1200+ cc items and there's no way that I can go through ALL of my CC.

If it still doesn't work I suggest taking out half of your mods and CC and testing the game. Then keep splitting until you find all that is broken.
Either update or remove the broken CC/mods.

I did that but now I can’t get the cc and mods to go back in my game
