Unrecognised graphics driver

Ive been playing on my Asus ROG ally for about a year now and have just recently, over the last fortnight, started running into Error stating that the game couldn't recognise my driver, so it has gone ahead and changed my setting to better fit my system. But every time it does that it totally breaks my game (freezes it instantly after I click the x or "okay" and then doesn't get past the loading screen if i restart the game) the only thing that I have found that fixes this is preforming a repair, but that again only works temporarily before it does this all over again. Is there a way I can fix this? 

(I know there are a lot of complaints about the device i use but I honestly haven't had issues up until now)
