Yeah, this same thing happens to me. It just gets stuck on the Title page.
It does work after I take all my mods & cc out, but I've never had a problem with that stuff before, so could it be that I have too much cc, somehow? I'm not sure how much you can actually have, since I've never used mods or cc before The Sims 4. But it's not like it takes forever to load or anything, it doesn't even start. It just opens, shows the title, then freezes and I have to like force close it. Am I going to have to play without cc? ☹️ ☹️

I'm having the same exact issue, I read this and took my cc out and now it works for me too...I want my cc... D: Someone help!
ashleyislamemeow have you tried this step, right click on the game in Origin, select Game Properties, and tick disable Origin In Game, restart Origin and make sure you are the administrator, run the setup file Origin with Admin rights.
If dont work then ,try a Clean Boot: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/ and then run a repair on the game by right clicking the game tile in Origin client and selecting the Repair Game option.
Solved your question ? ...please hit Accept As Solution on the post they did so others know it worked or have the curtsy to say " Thanks, but it didn't work "
Some custom content and mods aren't compatible with the new patch, but you could try to find more recent and/or reliable custom content.
- My game won't work. It was working the morning of 5/7. The evening of 5/7 around 9:30pm I logged in and none of my family appears. I click on the homes and the screen gets bigger. Please help. I have no mods.

@Scarletlocs Hi,
Have you tried right clicking the Sims 4 game tile in Origin and selecting "Repair Game"? This should help in making sure that there are no issues with your installation.
Cheers,
Nils
- Yes I did. I did it for each... Outdoor and Work. It's 1:45pm so I'll see if it's working today. Any other suggestions?
- Still not working.... So frustrating. It was working then something happens with origin to not make it work.
@Scarletlocs make sure your internet connection is not running through a proxy.
Go to Internet Options in Control Panel > check the connections tab and make sure the proxy server is not checked. Check the internet settings again.
First step... updating your Origin client...to the latest Beta version /top left Origin menu, Application Settings - General..
The second step... restart Origin and make sure you are the administrator, run the setup file Origin with Admin rights, click HERE to fiind how.Go in Game Options and unchecked the "online" box. Hit apply changes. Then rechecked the box and hit apply again.
And give me an answer😕mileyhappy:

Nothing happens when I right click. I even plugged in a mouse to make sure it wasn't just a problem with my trackpad.
Mods is what creates problems. Actually it's not really the mods it's the people who make them and updateing them is what really messes up your game. If you constantly keep updating custom content or mods and have old ones it screws everybody up on what to download. Lots of people have so many files on mods and stuff and it's confusing on what to download and it screws everything up. If these people who make mods and custom content just make one simple file to download and doesn't have to be updated then there wouldn't be any problems but people never learn
I'm playing Sims 3 now cause I guess I can't play Sims 4 anymore. It won't play because of the mods. More mostly the 'woohoo' mod is the problem. I can play it without it but I want it in there. It's boring without the 'woohoo' mod. If the people who make that 'woohoo' mod just create one simple file to download and don't update it cause it screws everything up plus so many files. It's all confusing
It's either sims 4 having problems or it's Origin because everytime I want to play Sims 4 it says oops Origin is having problems and it won't let me play. Origin and Sims 4 is really pissing me off. I want to play Sims 4 but I'm playing Sims 3 instead. Why can't they make Sims games without using Origin. Sims 2 you can play it without Origin. Why Sims 3 and 4 with Origin? Thats stupid

It bis not possible to make a Mod/CC that never needs updating. That is why with every patch to the game it is up to the creator to ensure that they still work and it is up to the player to check if there if there are updates to the Mods/CC they use. The Woohoo mod you mention was updated two days after the August patch.
