Re: [FIXED] Transfer button in Manage Household grey out (transferring not allowed)

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.110.265.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All, except Journey to Batuu
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to 'Manage Worlds' Open the 'Manage Household' menu Click on a family with more than one Sim Click on the 'Transfer Sims between households' option When I try to transfer one or more Sims (teen/young adult/adult/elder) with the 'Household split and merge' to create a new household, it doesn’t allow it—the button is blocked with the message, 'Transferring is not allowed.'
What happens when the bug occurs? Try to move a Sim of the correct age (teen/young adult/adult/elder) to a new household using the 'Household split and merge' tool, but the transfer button is blocked. I never had this issue before the update.
What do you expect to see? The button should be enabled, and I should be able to create a new household with the selected Sims like before the update.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Go to 'Manage Worlds'
Open the 'Manage Household' menu
Click on a family with more than one Sim
Click on the 'Transfer Sims between households' option
When I try to transfer one or more Sims (teen/young adult/adult/elder) with the 'Household split and merge' to create a new household, it doesn’t allow it—the button is blocked with the message, 'Transferring is not allowed.'

The button should be enabled, and I should be able to create a new household with the selected Sims like before the update.

I have the same issue! Deleted all my mods and repared the game, still have the same problem. I suppose it's a bug that appeared after the patch. I hope it gets fixed soon.

I am having same issue can not transfer, split or merge households from the neighbourhood screen, this is becoming crazy on top of the festival market stalls overlapping and dining out tables not being able to get seated broken and now this it feels like every day there is a new issue

@gertie47 The easiest is probably to create a dummy household in CAS, the move the Sim to that household and delete the Sim you don't want.

@crinrict  what if you do not want to delete sims and just want to move more than one. even in game when you use the phone to split household it will only let you do one at a time its a pain

both threads are very much like each other, I can not tell which one I am ment to be in, but I have the same issue as everyone in both threads, I can not split / transfer my sim from one household, I can not do this from the neighbourhood screen and if I try to split them while in game play from the phone it will only let me move one sim at a time, as I also get the transfer not allowed message.

Move one Sim to your new property. Then invite over whoever you want to join your household. Click on relationships and ask them to move in. It will then give you the option to transfer Sims from your previous household to your new one. And you can choose more than one.

Thank god some new games are coming out soon. I am so sick of these EA PEOPLE if you can call them that creating one bug after another. At this point the entire game is an ongoing workaround. Exhausting. Not what people would normally call fun.

I can't even do one at a time. I'm used to work arounds and things being a pain in this game. I'd just do one at a time if I could but it doesn't allow me to transfer anyone.
