Re: Does my PC support The Sims 4

@ALCODIOGO

Generally, the game depends on what graphics card you have, your other parameters are OK. The processor is a bit weak but the minimum requirements are met. But if you have a weak graphics card, the game will not work. How to determine which card you have.
Open the Start menu, click on the right side  "Computer."
On the new page on the left you will again have the name "Computer", right click on it and select Properties.
At the top, select Device Manager. There you will find what graphics card you have.

    @kreatora thanks for the help. I will check the graphics card to see if it supports the game. If it does and since, like you said my PC have the minimum requirements it will probably run the game I hope. Thanks again.

    @kreatora I have checked what graphics card I have used the DirectX Diagnostics Tool to see more information about it. So I assume that the graphics card are the Intel UHD Graphics 620. Again the Processor: Intel Core i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz (8 CPUs), 1.8 GHz. So in conclusion do you think that my PC can run the game, even with the graphics on low if necessary?

    This is unfortunately a weak card enough to provide support for the less demanding games that had premieres in 2016 or earlier. Such as Fifa17, Diablo3 or Overwatch. Probably the Sims base game will work on it but certainly you can't have such packs as Dogs and Cats or Seasons

    Oh ok well the fact that the game work on my PC is what I want the most. Can I have at least the costum content on the game and download some clothes and costumes for the game?

    I think you can 🙂 RAM is enough, and the amount of CC - has no effect on the graphics card

    @kreatora hello can you tell me another thing. Is it necessary to have a CD reader on the PC to play the game?. My PC as most modern laptops don’t have a CD reader, so if the Sims 4 require using the CD game to play the game I would have to buy a CD Driver.

    @ALCODIOGO  The DRM that requires a disc in the optical drive to play is SafeDisc. SafeDisc is no longer supported by Windows and OS X. The DRM for Sims 4 is Origin. Origin is like Steam in that the game is activated to an Origin account. The DRM of SecruROM and SafeDisc are no longer used so with Origin you do not require a disc in the drive to play.
