Re: Sims 4 - Scramble/rainbow glitch

@roberta591 Okay, I ran the report and attached the text document... I hope. Let me know if there's an issue opening it. (Still a little scared to attach that.)

Update: Just to be clear, the "scrambling" is kind of like big pixels all over the screen, and it only happens momentarily while and after I'm saving. It usually goes right away, but sometimes it can leave the text in menus unreadable. This is also for a short amount of time, but it's still obnoxious.

As for the "rainbow" glitch, I called it that because while I was building a house, I painted the ground and after I saved it the path turned into rainbow colors. It stayed like that until I exited the game and came back to it. It also did that to one piece of furniture. And then when I was playing yesterday, it did something similar where it turned a painted path black. So... something's messing with textures or something.

I don't know a lot past the basics of computers. Though my computer on its own (while not playing Sims) is completely fine.

@Espisayer The problem with your computer is the video does not meet minimum requirements. your computer only has 32Mb of video memory and the game minimum requirement is 128Mb of dedicated video memory. While a game may run on a system with less then minimum requirements there is no guarantee that it will continue to run correctly. The 32Mb of video memory is engineered into the motherboard and can not be changed.

@roberta591 Okay... So does that mean I'm just going to have glitches like that? Because I guess I can live with that if there's nothing I can do about it. Is it going to corrupt my save files or mess the Sims 4 up? (I do leave most of the in-game settings like lighting effects and furniture on medium or low...)

@Espisayer I'm guessing it will just mess up the graphics but there is no telling. Try updating the video graphics drivers. Yours are dated 9/8/2013 and there may be newer drivers and that may cure the problem or even lessen the problem. If the manufacturer doesn't have newer ones check to see if Intel has newer ones.
