Re: Slow/Laggy Sims 4 Game

Your computer is below minimum requirements https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/READ-FIRST-Make-sure-you-meet-minimum-requirements-PC/td-p/6420780/jump-to/first-unread-message

Make sure that Graphics options are set to low and enable laptop mode also upgrade your drivers https://downloadcenter.intel.com as they are very old. Hopefully this will allow you to play the base game with acceptable performance.

Thank you, I'm going to upgrade my driver in a few minutes, I'll try setting the graphics lower and I'll tell you how it goes. I was also thinking about getting a new gaming computer a few weeks ago, but if I don't I'll just have to deal with low graphics, but thank you!

Hi, I know this is a really late response. But thank you, I found a free download thing to update my drivers and I updated them last night and I just launched the Sims 4. The loading screen (plumbob) actually spun, and I opened the gallery (community) and the pictures actually loaded and my mouse was not laggy. Thank you so much even if it was something simple that was messed up. It also works perfectly fine with my cc and expansion/stuff/game packs while set on medium. (Sims is set to very high due to cc) Thank you!

  • Hi! This is also a late reply but i am currently having the same problem you did. Would you mind telling me what you downloaded to update your drivers? If so, thanks!
