Sims 4 Desktop shortcut

I just updated my sims 4 game and the launcher on my desktop wasn't working because it said the file has been changed or moved so I just deleted it and now I dont know how to replace it. I googled it and I'm watching videos on YouTube and they all say I have to go to    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin.    But I can only go up to    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4     I don't have the Game folder inside, only _Installer, EP03, EP07, GP04, GP06, GP08. If somebody could please tell me how to find my Game folder or how to make a shortcut on my desktop another way I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

  • @RawrrDinosaur18  There should definitely be a Game folder inside the Sims 4 folder.  However, if you've installed your game elsewhere, it's possible Origin left duplicate files in the normal location (the one where you're looking) in addition to the full set of game files elsewhere.

Can you launch Sims 4 from Origin?  If so, that means there's a TS4_x64.exe somewhere on your computer; try searching for it, then click Open file location to find it.

If you can't play, try repairing the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.  If that doesn't help, clear Origin's cache:

restart your computer, and repair again.  And if you happen to get an error, please take a screenshot and attach it to a post.
