@AshelyKing  Please make sure you're not running Origin in compatibility mode—that's a common cause of this error.

Otherwise, clear Origin's cache and uninstall it "the hard way."  The regular uninstall doesn't remove all Origin-related files from your computer, but these steps should.

Download the full installer, not the ThinSetup, and run it as an admin: right-click on the download and select "Run as administrator."  This is the direct download link:

Once you've installed Origin, run it as an admin too.  If you get an error, please take a screenshot and attach it to a post.

    it says " the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)

    @AshelyKing  Start by running a couple of checks on your Windows system files.  Here's how:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes into the window, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes into the window, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

    Start with the VC++ runtimes and .NET 4.8.  (You can skip the Silverlight and Shockwave components entirely.)

    what do i do after i download the aio-runtimes and extract it and then run the application?

    @AshelyKing  You install the VC++ runtimes and .NET 4.8 (although it's fine if you get an error saying it's already installed).  Then try to open Origin.  If it doesn't work, uninstall Origin, reinstall, and test again.
