Re: How to efficiently figure out which mods don't work?

As my nightmare continues and I slowly descend into madness, Sims 4 Tray Importer isn't working either. I don't know if it's because I don't know how to properly use it, but I made a sim and found some mods that didn't work so I saved her to my library. I go to open tray importer and there's nothing under library. I tried watching several videos but they don't say how the sims show up in the importer so I'm assuming they're just supposed to appear which means it's not working for me. Also something that's been adding fuel to my ever growing problems, is the fact that I've never been able to access the gallery. I don't know how or why but I thought I could deal without it by using mods, but obviously that's not the case as things keep going wrong. Any suggestions before I throw my mouse or something?

    @mnmski11 As @puzzlezaddict said, there is no easy one-shot tool you can use to find a bad mod. You MUST go through it manually. It's a pain, but it's the ONLY way.

    @mnmski11   For questions about Tray Importer the best help you can get is probably to go to their forum and ask/read there. I can't link it, since it has third party downloads on it, you have to search for it.

    If you want help with your gallery issues, could you please explain more? Has it never worked? Do you have a child account? Do you have the Legacy Edition?

    First make a new folder and check if it is accessible there first. Here is how. Don't move anything back until you have tried.

    Also do a Repair for good measure, after you have made a new folder. Here is how: Origin>My Game Library>The Sims 4 icon, right click and pick Repair in the menu.

    Yeah I'm stupid. I have to have Legacy Edition cuz I have a Mac Mini 2011, I just never fully read up on it. Thanks though, I even talked to EA support and they never once mentioned about Legacy being the problem even though they knew I had a 2011 mini but mostly it's my fault for not reading up on it properly. It sucks how I can't access the gallery or how I won't be able to purchase any new game packs that come out including discover university. Guess I'll just have to deal with the struggles of mods.

    @mnmski11 No, you're not. It's fine, it's actually expected for them to drop legacy support. They can't support it forever. 32 bit systems are mostly gone now. I'm amazed they supported it for as long as they did.

    If you can't afford a better system, like you said: you will just have to make the most out of what you have. I'm sure you'll find a lot of support from the modding community. There are a lot of much older games out there still going strong in the modding world.
