Here is that file
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@justmeish1997 Could you check if there's newer drivers for both your AMD Graphics card and your sound drivers ? Both are very old.
- justmeish19976 years agoSeasoned Rookie
I updated drivers and repaired game files... It lasted about 1hr before getting laggy and the sound glitch again... The load times also drastically increased
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@justmeish1997 How big is your save game ?
Do you also see lags if you start a fresh one for testing purposes ?
How high do you have your graphics settings ? - justmeish19976 years agoSeasoned Rookie
This is a new save, I have 1 sim and a small container home (playing rags to riches)
My previous save also did this, along with my sim refusing to attend uni classes and just standing outside the classroom with his book in his arm.
The one before that also did it along with my chunky sim getting slim when I zoomed out and chunky again when I zoomed back in.
All 3 saves were after the latest patch... Along with my sims peeing fire (which I know is a known bug) my game ran fine before Eco Lifestyle was launched.
My graphics are set at medium with edge smoothing off.
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@justmeish1997 The game does lag more than before and there's several threads around, especially when switching to build mode but I haven't seen anyone else having issues with triple sounds when pressing anything that makes sound.
Could you maybe add a video ? - justmeish19976 years agoSeasoned RookieI did get a recording but it says the video is too large to upload here. This game with eco lifestyle is definitely more laggy and I do get build mode lag
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@justmeish1997 You could try uploading to youtube as unlisted video and then just link.
Or even upload it to google or onedrive. - justmeish19976 years agoSeasoned Rookie
Here is the video
- crinrict6 years agoHero+@justmeish1997 OK. I hear what you mean. Thanks for that, made it a bit clearer.
I think the sound might just be a symptoms of the lags itself.
There's this issue: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-INPUT-A-Music-from-other-modes-Plays-During-Live-Mode/m-p/8047680 but yours seems different.
Can you try if it gest better if you completely disconnect from the Internet while you play ? - justmeish19975 years agoSeasoned Rookie
It's still laggy when I play without my internet cable in. Very strange, I really don't know why the latest patch would cause so much lag
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@justmeish1997 Could you repost your DxDiag now that you've updated the drivers ? Just run it again.
Could you also check on your computers temperatur to make sure it's not overheating ? There's programs that you can use to monitor that.
Also, try lowering your setting to medium-low to see if that makes a difference. - justmeish19975 years agoSeasoned Rookie
My temp is staying around 50C, low-medium settings still laggy after a while
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@justmeish1997 It's really hard to tell. Your computer is overall a bit low in specs and with all the packs, that could just be the reason. On the other hand, there is a general lag issue.
Do you have the sounds loops always or only when it starts to lag ? - justmeish19975 years agoSeasoned Rookie
Only when it lags
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@justmeish1997 OK. so I guess those are just a symptom of the actual problem.
I really don't know what else to tell you. I think your computer is just a bit overwhelmed with all the packs. It lags on far stronger computers than yours.
Have you tried a clean boot ?

Maybe it's some background program contributing to the lags. - justmeish19975 years agoSeasoned Rookie
Thanks, I'll give this a go... I just found it very strange that it ran perfectly fine on medium graphics until the patch... I used to run it on high before university came out
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@justmeish1997 The patch def. added more lags. There's several threads on them.
- justmeish19975 years agoSeasoned Rookie
Ok, thanks... I'll just have to play on lower settings and in shorter bursts for now and hopefully it sorts itself out.
Thanks again
- crinrict5 years agoHero+@justmeish1997 You're welcome. If you have lots off cc, cutting back on that can also help (although you said you had the same issue without any at all)
