Re: Best laptop to play sims 4 with expansion packs

@vickymac91  What do you think of this one?

https://www.box.co.uk/81Y6005SUK-Lenovo-Legion-5i-Intel-Core-i5-8GB-RAM-5_2938435.html

It's £650 right now but is more like an £800-900 laptop in terms of value.  Its graphics card could run all Sims 4 content on ultra graphics settings by a sizable margin, and the rest of its hardware is more than adequate for ultra settings as well.  This model also has high build quality in general.

If you don't like this laptop, let me know why, and I'll look for other options that are more in line with what you want.  I probably won't find anything as fast as this one, but even the next graphics card down in this generation can still run the game on ultra settings, so you should have a few options at least.

    Hi again

After reading a few reviews am a bit weary of using that website as I had never heard of it until today. I loved the idea of that laptop but when I go in to other websites the same laptop is coming up at over £1000 and that's a bit over price range for me as only using laptop to play sims 4.

I was hoping you could help and tell me if any of these 3 laptops would be suitable and if so which would be best, as I feel more comfortable ordering laptop from a site I have purchased from before

I hope I have done correctly so you can see the laptops, sorry for inconvenience I would just rather buy from currys/pc World or argos where if had problems I could speak to someone face to face.  If not to much trouble is there any laptops you'd recommend from they shops if the 3 I sent are no use. Thankyou once again.

@vickymac91  Personally, I wouldn't worry about buying from Box because the warranty for the laptop would go through the manufuacturer anyway, so as long as you received the correct computer in the first place, you'd be fine.  But if you'd prefer to buy from Argos, that's fine too.

The first two laptops are significantly better in terms of game performance than the third, and they'd perform about the same as each other in-game.  Of the two, the MSI runs a bit louder and noisier than the HP, but nothing alarming and nothing that a pair of headphones wouldn't block out.  The MSI does have double the storage of the HP, which would be nice to have, but it's not strictly necessary only for Sims 4: you could install the game and 100 GB of custom content and still not run out of room.  So between these two, pick the one you like better for whichever other reasons matter to you.

I looked for other suitable gaming laptops on the Argos and Currys sites and didn't see anything else worth mentioning.  I'd be happy to check other sites as well if you have any in mind.

The third laptop is the type that should be able to handle medium-high or high settings, but probably not ultra if you're installing most expansion packs.  If you would in fact prefer a thinner, lighter laptop, you have plenty of other options as well; let me know if you'd like to see them.
